the oddity is that while sightings (at Loch Ness, at any rate) predate modern civilization by a long time, the area was under a glacier less than 10000 years ago, more or less.
Yeah! That makes two of us. I’ve not seen the movie ‘Jaws’ either.
Shhh...don’t give away the artificial Loch Ness monster on a pole trick!
Now I’ll—I mean—Nessie’ll—have to find NEW ways to scare away meddlers.

I have vowed to never see JAWS as well! LOL, but for a different reason. I just hate to see a fish written in a movie as a calculating evil thing, Ut is a fish acting like a fish. It is not inherently evil, for heavens sake.
In fact, sharks usually bite people because they move in the water, they react to the movement thinking they are another fish, and then let realize and let them go.
