Anatabloc: A solution to chronic pain?

Can an all-natural dietary supplement from tobacco plants help ease your chronic pain?

Yes, according to the makers of a product called "Anatabloc."

* * *

Anatabloc, which comes in pill or lozenge form, is based on a substance called "Anatabine" that comes from tobacco plants.

That's right tobacco. After you take a pill, it enters your body and interacts with a protein in your cells.

The resulting cell adopts a natural anti-inflammatory process in the body. Researchers say it's very effective and promising in the battle against chronic pain.

I can testify that it has helped my father. He had a serious side effect from ‘Crestor’ that effected his hips and legs with weakness and chronic pain.

After a month of using the Anatabine the pain was under control and now several month’s later he is able to walk and sit in a chair with no pain. He takes six of the pills a day and I can say that this has been a major change for the better in his health.

I am very happy that your Dad found some relief from his pain. May I ask something? Did he crave cigarettes or doesn’t this product have the same type of ingredients as tobacco products?

My dad quit smoking in 1963. As far as I know he has no cravings.

The article says there is only one company making an Antabine supplement. Is that what your father is taking and, if not, does it cost as much as the one in the article?

Wonder how this would work on Plantar Fasciitis? I’ve been suffering with that for about 5 years, and the Voltaren I’m taking for it increases the risk of heart attack.

If this eases the pain and doesn’t cause any risks, it could be just the ticket. Any Freepers out there take it?

I believe he told me it’s 50 cents a pill and 100 dollars a bottle. Not cheap for an through the mail OTC drug. But with that said he is SOOOOO grateful to be pain free and able to walk and sit in comfort again.

50 cents a pill is what the stuff in the article costs. Must be the same brand. I’m glad it’s helping your father. Thanks for the feedback.

I use Voltaren topical gel from time to time for plantar fasciitis but I’m not so sure it works all that well. I still have it but not too badly at the moment. I avoid oral NSAIDS b/c I have microscopic colitis and oral NSAIDS are a no-no.

If you have serious chronic pain, you’ll do anything to get relief from it.

When I was young an older woman in her eighty’s once told me, you would eat chicken Sht if you thought it would bring pain relief. Now that I’m older and have severe pain from back surgery, I better understand he comment.

Yes, I have been taking it since the beginning of September and can attest to its effectiveness. It has completely cleared up my sinusitis and removed all pain from a prior rotator cuff injury’s residual pain and soreness as well as an elbow pain. Surprisingly, it lowered my relatively high blood pressure making it so that I don’t need my BP medicine (Toprol & lisinopril). Lastly, I just plain feel more energetic. I take between 4 - 6 pills a day. I’m completely sold.
