Posted on 11/20/2011 7:17:00 PM PST by Morgana
Sex Week at Yale University has been canceled after efforts made by students from Lets Strengthen Marriage - National Marriage Week, a national campaign to encourage people to strengthen marriages.
Eduardo Andino, the co-founder of the Undergraduates for a Better Yale College (UBYC) along with other undergraduates, were behind the campaign to remove Sex Week at Yale campuses.
The Sex Week at Yale is a biennial event that was originally organized by students in 2002. Proclaimed to be an interdisciplinary sex education program designed to pique students interest, the Sex Week explores love, sex and relationship by focusing on how sexuality is manifested in America.
We need to clean up the universities just the way the police cleaned up Zucotti Park, reported the students for UBYC organization.
Andino held dialogues among the students on the Yale campus and challenged the Dean of Student Affairs, Marichal Gentry, to raise reflection among students about the glorious consensual sex.

So the smart guys at Yale pull back from the Penn State crevice.
“So the smart guys at Yale pull back from the Penn State crevice.”
It would appear that way.
As does the Church Lady!

That's pretty amazing for an elite East Coast Ivy League university. Or any "institution of higher education" these days.
Whether they declare it or not, every week is Sex Week at most colleges.
Utterly redundant irony should not be embraced in public.
The Sex Week at Yale is a biennial event, ...Proclaimed to be an interdisciplinary sex education program designed to pique students interest,
Who concluded that anything was needed to “pique students” interest in sex?

From what I’ve heard its a school sponsored orgy.
You would be correct. This, as well as a lot of other schools, DO sponsor orgies.
That could be taken as a double entendre.
Which fortunately may take a while.
every week is sex week at yale.
I’m Bijan Aboutorabi, one of the co-founders of Undergraduates for a Better Yale College (UBYC), the undergraduate group discussed in this article. I’m very pleased to see this story attracting so much attention; however, the article here is rife with inaccuracies. UBYC has no organizational tie to Let’s Strengthen Marriage. More seriously, the “quotes” from our “press release” do not come from anyone in UBYC, nor did we issue a press release on the subject. For more accurate information about who we are and what is going on with Sex Week, I recommend our website (www.betteryale.org) and that of the Yale Daily News (www.yaledailynews.com).
And we should believe you - why?
How about a viable link, sources, quotes, etc.
And please tell us about your name. Bijan means “seed”. The rest of the name?
Bijan, I just did a search on your name and it looks as though you are who you say you are. I just found this article:
ABOUTORABI, ANDINO AND MARIN: Change the climate, end Sex Week
Looks very interesting. I could not find the article referenced at the top of this thread, either. So, any input you would like to make to clear up inaccuracies would be welcome.
