I had for around 10 years a Linksys wrt54g. The wireless signal went down to about 20ft range from 150ft. My bro inlaw had the same one and I bought it from him and now I am back to full range. I would buy the same one. They still sell them.

Problem with that is it doesn’t have a DSL modem built in. That is an excellent router and I would recommend it as well, but it doesn’t work for me.

Had one of those for about eight years without a problem. Used it with Verizon DSL and all kinds of garden variety wireless gear.
