Reminds me of ‘Blondie’ as well.
My husband worked one of her concerts in the UK some years ago. He recalled seeing her ‘puking her guts out’ backstage (his words) before the concert. Goodness knows WHAT she was high on.

She may have been purging.
A lot of entertainers develop bulimia to keep their appearance up.
Or it could have been anxiety.
Or booze.
Did she slur during the performance?

hahahahahaha....
I used to do a lot of theatre and there were always some actors in the troupe who had such stage fright that they puked before going on stage. And then went on and scored boffo reviews. Quite normal.
I never did. I loved being on stage. Still do.
