Now That We've Crucified Every Candidate.... (Here's Your Chance FReeper Nation)
Personal Thoughts | 11-23-11 | TheRobb7

Now That We've Crucified Every Candidate, who are we gonna support?

Take a step back and think about it for a moment:

Romney? No, for reasons stated on this site and encoded on our DNA.

Paul? No, unless you're an isolationist.

Perry? Apparently not, since my fellow FReepers appear ready to kill each other at the thought of a Perry nomination.

Santorum or Huntsman? No, because they apparently aren't pure enough either.

Cain? Maybe, but many consider 999 to be 666.

Newt? After last night's debate, FR will lynch the man and serve him on their tables tomorrow...so, no.

That leaves Bachmann, who again isn't pure enough for my fellow FReepers.

So since we insist on nominating a Priest instead of a POTUS, my question to all here is this:

SINCE YOU HAVE CRUCIFIED EVERYONE ON THAT STAGE AT ONE TIME OR ANOTHER.....WHO WILL YOU SUPPORT?

(or are we hoping that no one will have enough delegates heading into Tampa, thus giving us a nice little floor fight?)

The one person who really ought to be on that stage is quietly watching this slow motion train wreck, while millions wish she’d reconsider her decision.

Cain

His economic plan, his empowerment instead of entitlement attitude, his ability to see a problem and attack it are why he still has my vote.

I think a Cain/Bachmann ticket would be ideal.

Mix their fiscal and domestic strengths with Bachmann’s foreign policy prowess and they’d be great.

I personally think Bachmann should top the ticket but I don’t think she can be.

You first. LOL.

Let's rip your guys/gal a new a$$ before I tell you who I like.

(I'm kidding)

People are really being over sensitive. We debate because we all believe in what is best for the nation. We are all on the same side with differing opinions. It's ok to disagree.

Avoid arguments of feeling. State positions, reasons and logic. Provide links when necessary. Avoid name calling and denigration of fellow FReepers (unless they say something really, really ignorant about support for Romney or Paul).

Eventually, we need to all line up, support and defend the nominee that wins the primaries.

Happy Thanksgiving.

Now let's get ready to ruuuummmmbbbbbllllllle.

Speaker Gingrich is standing even more strongly on my list. Perry and Cain are there too.

I’ve been thinking about that, but it would take a delegate shortfall heading into the convention to even make that a possibility.

I’d like to put Newt, Cain, Bachmann and yes, Huntsman in a blender and take out the good parts from each and discard the detritus.

Can I do that?

Santorum or Huntsman? No, because they apparently aren't pure enough either.

My opposition to Huntsman is that he was Obama's bootlicker. Being a sponge-spined RINO is bad enough, but actually serving in the enemy camp is simply unacceptable. During the presidential debates, Obummer would simply ask, "If you think my policies are so bad, then why did you work for me?"

Think people upset about this vetting of the candidates might want to listen to Newt Gingrich's words on the issue.

"In the next three weeks, I predict to you we will have all sorts of questions about me. And it's fine. You can not ask the people of the United States to loan you the most powerful governmental job in the world, particularly in a campaign that's promising very dramatic change, and not have them vet you carefully and thoroughly," Gingrich said.

I wanted Sarah Palin, I will support Herman Cain and Michelle Bachmann. None of the rest give me any feeling of enthusiasm. I will say that I will not support Mr. Romney, I’ll still vote but I will not vote for President at that point.

While we might not agree with every candidates opinion, we whould all agree that it’s better than what we have now.

This is our chance to show the candidates that we’re not going to take any of their carp when he or she becomes our President.

Let me try this again:

I wasn’t trying to insult my fellow FReepers.

NO way no how!

For the record (you can trace my posting history) I do like Cain and was leaning Newt.

I had a place in my heart for Palin and was hurt by her decision....but I moved on.

I’m wishing Bachmann would gain more traction, but if you had to nail me to the floor right now, it would be Cain.
