You would need to log into the router as an administrator (using the wired computer) and check the configuration settings.
- Open a new browser tab or session.
- Enter the IP address of the router. Linksys / Cisco routers use "http://192.168.1.1"
Netgear may (or may not) use the same address.
- At this point, you should see an administrative login page.
- You will then need the login id and password (often defaulted to blank or null).
- Once you are in, you can check or change configuration settings.
