That’s beyond disgusting. If 0bama is re-elected, there’s going to be some serious unrest.
Same thing here in New York city, right across the street from me is a Motel called the Metro motel. 74-00 Queens blvd, it’s a welfare hotel. The same freaking bums and skanks live there day after day after day night after night. They do absolutely nothing but get high and wasted every single day, and this isn’t people with families, these are single adults given free room and board and money which they use to buy liqour and drugs. One bitch in particular I would love to put my boot right in her face, obnoxious as all hell always mouthing off and screaming 3 - 4 in the morning. Welfare is killing cities just like New York and our politicos don’t have the balls to tell these BUMS to get off their effin ass and work. And the media doesn’t help as well. If you can believe it, when we had that hurricane here, one of those bums in the motel emailed NY 1 accompanied by a video he made with his expensive iphone to complain about his texpayer funded room getting wet, and incredibly they sent out reporters who did a story how the “homeless were being abused”. THAT is why they get away with this BS.

The welfare (and illegal alien) subculture would shock most. It crosses all racial lines and even educational lines. I have one person who works in the same office as I do describe what goes on all the time. Sadly a lot of it is set up with her church too. There is a thriving business to trade Lone Star Cards (Texas version of Food Stamps) for cash. They set-up day-cares exactly as is described in this video. They rent houses to each other and friends- often the same house is rented under three or four different families, none of whom live there but they receive their rental subsidy for each registered name.
The sad part is the person I work with probably easily pulls in $100K/year between her and her husband and she takes part in it too. She has said before she buys Lone Star Cards from her friends for half the value and brags, she gets the groceries cheaper and her friend gets the cash. This is a young lady with a bachelor’s degree and who is working on her Master’s right now.

Is there someway you could alert authorities? Or do they even care? Fraud is a felony; especially with federal money. Or am I thinking about a different era...(rhetorical)
I’m sure it’s going on in the small town I live in but they are less apt to ‘brag’. Hard to spot really.

More money gets into the hands of the welfare bums through Medicaid. Just claim to have back pain and you can score some Oxycodone which can be traded for other drugs or cash. If she works in a strip club or does some prostitution, her yearly haul could be above 100k, tax free.
I’ve send some anonymous tips to the State agency but unfortunately it seems the people who work in the city are friends or family of those involved in these type of scams. For example, not the same person/situation I mentioned bu this is a local news story of how government officials are a part of what happens but when they are caught, people just look the other way. This is a housing scam that was caught in the past couple of weeks.
The city workers who were involved in the scam were given a whopping 2 days without pay... (this goes way deeper than what this articles suggests and now the landlord is being sued by the scammers..)

I have been told that in some areas around me people are “cold-calling”, actually knocking on doors to find someone who will give them half price for groceries paid for with an “EBT” card. Apparently there is an oversupply!

Obama has already done irreversible damage to the country. He has stacked the Federal civil service ranks with communists who can’t be fired without cause like criminal conduct because it is nearly impossible to fire federal civil servant employees.
Also, we may never be able to repeal Obamacare. I am certain the GOP nominee will win the White House, but a RINO like Romney will not sign a repeal of Obamacare. He will want to work with the Senate RINOs to coopt it to benefit big business.

I pray you are right and I love your optimism, but I can’t agree with you.
There was a time when the vast majority of American’s worshiped the Lord and followed Christ’s teachings. They were fairly self-reliant and did not expect others to provide for them. There were of course some criminals and slackers, but the vast majority were fairly honest, hardworking, and good. Had a “can do” mentality and pitched in to help others.
Those days seem behind us. Half of Americans want or expect a free ride and many of these do not worship or believe in God. They want socialism and big government and they are more than happy to surrender their freedom and rights for entitlement money and “stuff”.
I pray and will continue to pray you are right, but I greatly fear that “the people” to which you refer are no longer. We are becoming a balkanized, disparate mass of people with differing agendas a great body of whom want others to do the hard work and sacrifice required to subsist let alone to thrive.
But I will continue to pray that you are right.
Half of americans don’t merely want or expect a free ride, they damn well demand it. And get it. The politicians at all levels and both parties are too gutless to deal with it. So, we will continue on until we have total economic and social collapse. It is inevitable.
perhaps we should see the “do nothings” as a cost of business or a tax. If it takes five years to become a citizen, then five years on wealfare should be enough to say no more voting for you.
