Large pagan celebration in NYC on air now on NBC [Vanity]
Vanity | 11/30/2011 | Self

What a display of heathen craziness.

Crass commercialism as a huge tree is celebrated by wild-eyed fascination with pop singers.

All supposedly done in the name of our Savior.

Now some misguided soul is singing "Beautiful" the Christina Aguilera song.

What a mockery.

God help us all.

Gone are the days when I had to camp out in the office until this travesty was over and I could make my way home without being stomped or smothered.

He did his “sexy” version of “little drummer boy” which made females in attendance swoon.

If you think about the implications of that for a minute... it’s very, gravely wrong Biblically.

I saw a few seconds of that. :) From any angle, BHO is infuriating. Just have to smile and shake your head.

My what spam ? lol.

Hey, I’m just noting the events...

Doesn’t bother me... just noting it.

FWIW, IMHO and all them.

Any time one starts spouting about trying to actually trying to remember what we’re actually doing these days one feels like a lone voice in the wilderness.

1. They are making it up as they go along. Neopagans don't have any coherent doctrine, practices, or even sacred literature.

2. As an old Scottish friend of mine said, “If they were burning witches again, they'd remember their catechisms quickly enough.”

3. A lot of them are in it for the guilt-free sex.

Kind of makes you wish for a bunch of rocks from on high to just come down right there as an indicator of how much God is ‘pleased’ with their ‘offerings’.

Let the pagans celebrate their winter solstice holiday. Justin Beiber and people singing pop songs do not and can not reduce your understanding of the true reason for the holiday. Lashing out at them for celebrating their secular holiday does not help introduce them to the real Jesus.

I saw the first 30 minutes of this show. It has to be the most boring musical variety show I’ve ever seen.

The Christmas Tree
The Christmas Tree originated in Germany in the 16th century. It was common for the Germanic people to decorate fir trees, both inside and out, with roses, apples, and colored paper. It is believed that MARTIN LUTHER, the Protestant reformer, was the first to light a Christmas tree with candles. While coming home one dark winter’s night near Christmas, he was struck with the beauty of the starlight shining through the branches of a small fir tree outside his home. He duplicated the starlight by using candles attached to the branches of his indoor Christmas tree. The Christmas tree was not widely used in Britain until the 19th century. It was brought to America by the Pennsylvania Germans in the 1820’s.
