...Chubby the squirrel puts on a little too much weight for the winter
DailyMail ^ | 10th December 2011 | Pamela Owen

Barely able to fit into his feeder and gently resting his foot on the side of the chair to keep his balance, this greedy squirrel tucks into his daily meal.

The large rodent has been piling on the pounds in preparation for a harsh winter and every day he is given a new cob to keep him going.

Amateur photographer Paulette King has dubbed the gray squirrel 'Chubby' because of its massive size.

Every day he visits the woodland garden where he can be seen munching his way through the food and at times, even resorts to burying some before coming back for more.

Aw!!! My squirrels aren’t looking quite so robust, but they are tormenting my dogs something fierce!

LOL, the squirrels in my yard are exceptionally fat this year. At that, the birds are getting pretty obese as well. One of our oak trees gave up a lot of acorns this year and I raked most of them around the base. It is like a Country Kitchen Buffet for critters below it.

You can’t use the terms fat, chubby, chunky, etc anymore. The current approved term is “curvy”.

Bwahhahhahha! He’ll never fit into this seasons fashion well, will he? Of course, my GSD would just LOVE a pudgy, slow squeak toy.

I’ve got two big fox squirrels that come to my feeder on my deck, Larry and Bob. Bob is missing 3/4 of his tail which looks like someone bobbed it off.....

Just knowing that someone actually took toy soldiers placed them around a dead squirrel and snapped a picture is disturbing.

Squirrel, the other white meat.

In my travels yesterday, I passed a yard with a good dozen squirrels under the tree. It was a windy day. At first I thought they were all lawn ornaments of some kind...all facing the same way, up on their haunches, eating acorns. It was quite funny sight. :)
