Is Newt Gingrich a good candidate?

One last time, I will vote for the GOP candidate.

Because if we don’t win next year, we won’t have to worry about voting.

Why don't you tell everyone who you support, and make your best case for their nomination...

... instead of this Alinsky passive/agressive sicko crap.

I would vote for anyone that could beat Obama. Even the worst RINO would be infinitely better than Obama’s Marxism.

Newt has peaked and is falling fast. He lost 20 percent on intrade just today. Not sure why that is exactly. Time will tell.

hahahahaha!

I said a few days ago that newt would peak in the iowa primary and it would be all down hill from then on. I missed it by what? 3 weeks?

Sometimes I even amaze myself. I called it on palin and cain too. NO JOKE.

several months ago i went on record here at FR as saying I expect mitt to be the vice president candidate but that there is no way to tell who will win the primary. I want to go on record again saying that same thing. I am still saying mitt will be veep and that someone other than newt will win the primary. If I was the one choosing, I’d pick santorum. But I just can’t tell yet who america will pick for the republican nominee.

Of course. Hell, I’d vote for fig Newton over Obama, though. When you understand the consequences of not throwing out the current Prez come November the choice isn’t difficult for a reasonable conservative, or at least anti-leftist.

I care not one whit whether you personally are another Cheerleader for Kelo Vs. New London or not.

I worked with my legislator and many others in Texas to block the Trans Texas Corridor, and am working now to insure that people in churches where I am involved here know what Perry was up to and counsel them that if socialists of that ilk own both parties than conservatives have no voice.

Perry didn't just fall to the back of the pack behind even nut burger Wrong Paul because of bad luck. He deserves to be run out of politics and those of us who fought him on the TTC have been working for half a decade towards that end.

You vote for whatever crony La Raza Pandering Land grabbing big government candidate that matches your values.

Do not, however, expect people who have known who Perry is and opposed him all these years to buy his sudden conservative makeover, any more than people from NYC bought Giuliani's attempted conservative makeover in 2008.

I’ll probably vote for Paul in the primary, but I have no problem voting for Newt in the general.

Yes. I sense a real under-current of anger in Gingrich. I think he realizes he’s been a part of the problem and wants to undue some of it.
I don’t think he’ll use his election as a mandate for amnesty or global warming, even if he personally believes in aspects of these issues. But he needs to clear that up instead of thinking it a middle ground for votes. Although, to win, he may stay opaque on those issues.

I had trepidation about the TTC as well but eminent domain for roads is hardly socialism.

I fact that is one of the things the founders said it was for.
Kelo Vs New London was nothing of the kind.

ok.

I’ll give it minimum 3 more days before I decide he’s peaked. It could just be a momentary blip.

Nope.

Not after he endorsed BS Global Warming back in 2006 with Nancy Pelosi and Al Gore.

Not after he endorsed Dede Scozzafava back in 2009.

That doesn't mean I am voting for Obama though.
