Time succeeds in demonstrating its irrelevance once again.

They should have at least had the pic of the guy taking a dump on the front cover. That would sum up the content.

This picture symbolizes the essence of 'The Protestor'.

This should be on the cover of Time Magazine.

Is there a Guinness’ Book of World Records category for Most Consecutive Years of Colossally Stupid Selections for Person Of The Year?

Does anyone read TIME any more? I don’t even think my dentist has a subscription these days.

I’d like to see Looter Guy, Pooper Guy and Matthew Lesko all all on the front cover together.

“Next year: All carbon-based life forms.”

Is there such a thing as non-carbon-based life?

You are right, though, that’s the direction in which Time is headed (ell, that and towards bankruptcy). The following year will have to be everything that exists, I guess. Then everything theoretically possible. Then I don’t know.

That's a really good question. You would think that the Internet would have killed it off by now. Who wants to read news that's a week old when you can read news that is five minutes old.

There was once a Star Trek episode in which they encountered a silicon based life form. Kirk and Spock and the guys were surprised to find a life form which was not carbon based.

So at least in the realm of science fiction, there are non-carbon based life forms.

Drudge has that picture above the link to the Forbes article about the choice.

Forbes said the smart money was on Steve Jobs "which would have made him the first deceased person-of-the-year".

Either Time still has Bill Gates as an advertiser, or they figure their arrogant elitism deserves to finish off the publication with one, big, final insulting dump against civilized Americans.

They are attempting to make the ludicrous OWS protests the “biggest story of the year”.

I guess the Islamic takeovers, Japan tsunami, last shuttle flight, Norway massacre and other things are trivial. lol.

Having seen the cover, the Person of the Year sure looks like a terrorist to me.
