If you live in the neighborhood, the least you can do is have some steak or chicken or BACON on hand so that when DeGeneres' dog escapes and shows up at your door with that desperate look in its eyes, you can say, "I know ... I know... they are called 'canine teeth' for a reason...here's some T-bone!"

What a bunch of idiots! I worked for a vet when I was younger that said cats need to eat meat or it can lead to vision problems. Dogs & cats are natural carnivores! Stupid should hurt!

More power to her if she could make vegan pet food that gives the proper nutritional balance and enzymes that these mostly carnivorous pets need. There’s a market out there for vegan pet food, and she’s willing to fill that market niche. Maybe running her own successful business would nudge her a bit rightward.

Dogs are omnivores but prefer meat, cats are obligate carnivores and must have meat to be healthy.
Trying to feed a cat a vegan diet is nothing less than animal cruelty. The cat will sicken and die.
