At some point, we need to consider how we’re going to win.

Seriously.

Our nation is well and truly on the line. If we lose, there will be no nation which will save the world.

This is for all the marbles.

We have already knocked several very good candidates from the race, just by being “against” things.

It’s time for us now, to start planning to win.

Condi Rice is probably the most incompetent National Security Advisor this country has ever had, and the second most incompetent Secretary of State, after Madeline Halfbright. She was the one who pushed for elections in Pakistan and Gaza/West Bank, and look where that got us. Moreover, she just loves Obama. That alone disqualifies her from any future National office.

I see our first knee jerk as per usual, is to criticize our own.

Condi Rice is NOT "our own." She's just another big government liberal Republican, who BTW has NEVER been elected to any office at any level of government.

the “knee jerk” is conservatives feeling like that have to cast everywhere for a nonwhite candidate to prove the GOP is not “racist” and going all squishy everytime they find a “minority” who is articulate. Or not even articulate.

Enough already.

Just choose someone of principle and competence who has actually achieved something. Someone with a track record.
DeMint/Ryan/Cantor.. even the dullard Jindal has a track record. Rice is no leader. She was an employee.

At some point, we need to consider how we’re going to win.

Quite frankly, as Conservatives, our chances of winning flew right out the window when Sarah Palin called Mark Levin and told us that she's not running.

Allen West for veep in 2012, for president in 2020!

Let’s besiege the editorial page of the Washington Times with our opinions on this. The people on Third Street in DC read it and note what’s on its pages.

To be honest, I don’t think Condi would run. I think she has some areas of vulnerability in her private life and doesn’t want to lose her privacy.

Palin never planned to run. She never assembled a team for running. She didn’t put any effort into qualifying to be on the ballot in a single state.

This isn’t criticism of her decision. Just wondering why so many ever thought she was running in the first place.

Your #8 post and this one are 100% accurate!! It is getting pretty tiresome. There’s not a lot of deep thinking going on at FR these days. People even fall for John Semmens satire over and over just because they can’t resist latching onto the negative!! Some still don’t get it even when the threads end!

She had a very large grassroots network primed and ready to go. The MSM just ignored us, but the GOP-E was deathly afraid.

It’s time for us now, to start planning to win.

You are fighting a good fight here on FR, but FReepers here have decided that it's all or nothing.

It does no good to explain to them that our first objective is to remove Obama. Condi? Not good enough. Mitt? Not good enough. Newt? Not good enough. Perry? Not good enough.

Instead, people who regard themselves as conservatives need to realize that "Good Enough" equals an Obama replacement. President Good Enough will at least prevent Obama from the destruction he has started. We have to stop the bleeding before we can call the surgeon.

But freepers want to hold out for the perfect conservative, and in doing so, they will give Obama a free ride through 2016.

I understand why she chose not to run at this time. A portion of this decision was was made clearer to me after reading Executive Orders and Debt of Honor (fictional novels by Tom Clancy). In Executive Orders you can see the family sacrifice required by a President. With young children and a special needs child to consider, I can see why Sarah struggled with the decision to be President. It is not a part time job but a full and consuming job.

It is up to us!!!

Vote out your current incumbent Representative in Washington. It is the peoples house, the United States House of Representatives belongs to us and we must take it back.
