I fixed a roast last night, so it’s leftover roast beef sandwiches tonight. I am on duty, so I don’t cook on Tuesdays. Tomorrow will be beef barbeque sandwiches.
We have had nothing but dreary rainy weather since fall.

It’s been raining all day, supposed to turn to snow later. An inch or 2 overnight, maybe another inch of lake effect tomorrow.

That’s been our weather since yesterday afternoon - cold and rainy. Good knitting and reading weather. The youngest went to see Sherlock Holmes for the second time in as many days.

There are so many great yarns and patterns out there now. It's not like when my grandmother knitted baby sweaters back in the day. My MIL loves her handknitted socks and my FIL loved the cap I made him this year of wool and silk. I made a lot of chemo caps this year, in very soft and pretty yarns.
I've made helmet liners too for a soldier from church and he liked his so much, he gave one to a buddy because he felt guilty having two when no one else in his unit had one. I tried to get a group together to make enough for all of them but people were too busy. They have to be made of real 100% wool because other materials can melt onto their skin and cause burns.
I knit between periods at hockey games, and the cops know me at the gate as they see me walk up and say Knitting, right?
