Is Mitt Romney taking the high road during this GOP nomination cycle?
1/4/2012 | Laissez-faire capitalist

Though Romney is personally not working with any pro-Romney super PAC(s), can Romney at least tell them or ask them to cease any potential negative attack ads aimed at Gingrich or someone else? If he doesn't, is he still taking the high road?

Secondly, how could pro-Romney forces ask pro-Obama forces to do the something if they won't? How can pro-Romney RINOS and CINOS berate Obama surrogates for saying something about Romney if pro-Romney surrogates do the same to GOP candidates?

I was once at a conference where there were a number of CEOs present but one really biggie.

At a small breakfast meeting, someone asked this big CEO how he handled people who were "problems."

He said that he didn't need to do anything at all, he had "his people" do it for him.

I think Mitt prefers to handle his "problems" in the nomination the same way, i.e. he doesn't need to say anything nasty about anyone, "his people" do it for him.

I'm no expert on the law here, but if I understand correctly, no one in a candidate's campaign is permitted to have any dealings with a PAC--and vice-versa.

Now he trying to trick republicans..

What’s NEW about that?
Most of the Tea Party congressmen/women have already been co-opted by Bonehead and the Establishment GOP.
Romulus is just not good at pretending to be a conservative.

You obviously don’t remember the way that George Bush and John McCain handled the Swift Boaters, do you? They did everything they could to let the public know that they considered the Swift Boaters to be the enemy, damn Karl Rove to hell.

Campaign Finance Reform law says a PAC can’t say, “Vote against socialists like Scott Brown.” But it can say, “Tell Scott Brown you reject his socialist policies.” Therefore, I’m sure that while a candidate can’t say, “RomneyPAC, quit digging up dirt on Herman Cain,” he absolutely can say, “I find it appalling that Republican PACs are digging up sexual accusations against Republican competitors, and I find it all the more infuriating that some of these are even doing it in my name, and that campaign finance reform says I can’t tell them to stop it.”

Mitt and his minions have viciously attacked Conservatives since 08. Mitt's people attacked Sarah, Mitt's people attacked Cain and other conservatives.

Mitt lusts for the Office of President to satisfy his statist ego. Mitt hates our beloved Constitution and truly hates conservatives.

Words cannot describe how much I loathe Mitt. Nothing on this Earth would ever convince me to cast a vote for Mitt.

Romney tried and may have excited in destroying Newt. Newt will not go gently into the night........I hope he takes Romney out, and big time, so Romney never ever comes back.

What Willy-Rom-Rom-RINO is showing us is the same leadership style that he would use as POTUS.

Smile, grease the hair, talk like a motor-mouth in overdrive, and always say “Trust me, I’ve done this before. I know how to do this.”

Meanwhile, his fraternity brothers run around in the dark and let the air out of the tires of those who get in Willy’s way.

Willy “is a nice guy, but he is in way over his head.”

BTW, there is no “high “ road in the District of Corruption, as it was built on a tidal swamp.

This is what I was getting at here: “ I find it appalling that Republican PACs are digging up...and that campaign finance reform says I can’t tell them to stop it.”

That's BS. Romney on any given day can issue a public statement that he wants no "negative attack ads" broadcast in his name.

It's called the First Amendment and it applies to candidates.
