Charles Barkley thought the cameras were off during commercial break of TNT's broadcast of the Hawks-Heat game last night.
But NBA.tv was streaming live when Barkley went on one of his funny mini-rants and called his Weight Watchers endorsement a "scam."
"I thought this was the greatest scam goinggetting paid for watching sportsthis Weight Watchers thing is a bigger scam," he said.
To be fair, he never said that Weight Watchers itself was a scam (he talked about how he lost two pounds a week for three months). He's saying it's a scam that all he has to do is lose weight to get paid gobs and gobs of money.

That’s jus turrible!
Oops.
I wonder how many calories his foot has?
I remember some years back he was caught saying "that's why I hate white people."
Frank Caliendo does a great impersonation of Chucky.

Well, Chaz can probably kiss this “scam” adios.
In his own words, “Knucklehead”.
I would never buy anything he endorsed.
“Thats jus turrible!”
Surriously! What a nukkahead...
“THE ROUND MOUND OF REBOUND”? Now he’ll be THE SKINNY HILL OF TALKING? Don’t work....doesn’t rhyme.
LOL
A tally light is a small red light on a TV camera. If the camera is pointed at you and the light is shining, you’re on TV. He should have made sure the light wasn’t on when he spoke.
Way past time Americans open their eyes to the ‘scam’ of sports, ‘stars’, pundits, the corrupt media....
That’s the great thing about a free market system. Barkley is essentially saying that the cost to him of providing a service is far less than people are willing to pay him for it. He might call it a “scam.” Economists call it “the surplus value.” It’s the same thing.
If the market level of a common job is $20 an hour, there are almost certainly some employers who would be glad to pay $30 an hour to get someone to do the job and some workers who would be glad to do it for $10 an hour. Both the employer and worker think they are getting a great deal at $20 an hour. They are—that’s what makes free exchange so great.
You know what? I ought to e-mail Charles Barkley and cut and paste what you just wrote.
That will probably get him off the hook and impress the ladies with him.
Didn’t this guy once considered running for governor of Alabama? ( as a Republican too ).
Ya mean Charles Barkley the GOP supporter that voted for Obama
