After reading so many stupid criminal stories, it is almost refreshing to read one where the perp executes a simple but clever crime.

It’s amazing what you can get away with if you look like you should be doing what you’re doing.
There was a convenience store in metro KC where it seems that the crooks had watched the schedule for refilling the ATM inside the store. Shortly afterwards, a couple of guys in workclothes with a two wheeler and a clipboard came in and told the clerk that there was a problem with the ATM, and they had to take it out for repairs. He signed the “work order,” and they loaded up a newly filled ATM and walked right out of the store with it. I don’t know if they ever caught the guys.

This guy was discovered when a supervisor yelled at him to get back to howdy duty — and the guy asked, “Who?”
The fact that he appeared to be serving a customer should have tipped off the manager.

Recently there was a pair of guys that went door to door offering to shovel snow from the roofs,one homeowner said no thanks so the pair stole his snowblower, video camera caught their faces.
I won’t hire a snow plow truck to clear my driveway after I heard a couple of years ago one guy was doing his plow work on private property and was organizing a theft ring when he saw snowmachines just sitting around and when the tenants were off in Hawaii.
I’m just saying this, people are getting desperate.
And bolder.
Smart and audacious. If he knew the difference between right and wrong, he’d be a successful entrepreneur, or a rising star in the military.
Instead he’s a crook. A waste of talent.

Buy the biggest flat screen they have on your credit card heck even pay cash.
Give your buddy// spouse // friend // fellow thief the reciept on the way out the door and send them back inside for the same TV
your buddy//spouse//friend//fellow thief walks out with the TV since he has a reciept
Take the TV you bought back because you changed your mind.
Viola a new TV you never paid for
