A pox on his house and the steelers for as long as he owns them.

The pox came to their house Friday in the form of that home fire that badly burned Kirby Wilson. They called the burns nonlife-threatening at first, but then they said he was in an induced coma. Very mysterious circumstances, if you ask me.

He explicitly said that the Steelers were vulnerable to being upset by the Broncos. I give him credit for calling ‘em as he sees ‘em. He may be a Steelers’ fan but he keeps his eyes open.

Yo! NIU over Arkansas State 38-20 in the Godaddy.com bowl after being down 13-0. It came on after the Broncos-Steelers game, and I was looking forward to it, partly because of an interest in NIU, but mostly to complete my perfect bowl viewing record, assuming I watch tomorrow, which I will.

Except if the first team scores a TD.

I agree.

The stats show that the 1st team that gets the ball more often then not doesn't score first.

That will probably end their string for good.

The stats show that teams that won the coin toss won less half of the time.

The system worked fine and it should have been left alone.

I think the Steeler defense was gassed and it was just sloppy tackling on their part.

Totally agree.

Yes, the 'powers that be' were upset that the almighty Favre didn't get into the SB that year.

I like Mike Tomlin, think he is first class coach.

Made some poor decisions playing Roeth. however.

I like the new rule. It basically just removes cheap field goals from the equation. Heck, in Denver it might even be possible to kick a FG if you got the ball to the 50.

It also adds to strategy to the coaching. The old rule meant that a lot of times, if the team that won the toss got in easy FG range they would kick it before 4th down. They can still do that but it would give the other team the opportunity to tie or to win it with a TD.

It is certainly ironic that the first "non sudden-death" overtime was actually the most sudden.
