I’m tired of store-bought vegetables that look and feel like tomatoes but taste like bleh. Maybe it’s time for a garden again.
The gardening thread has many great links for websites that offer open pollinated or heirlooms. You are going to do better if you buy your seeds in individual portions, rather than relying on one of the SHTF packages. You will be way overcharged.
You can plant seeds from hybrid varieties, but you are going to get one of the parents as a result, not another hybrid. There would be absolutely nothing wrong with planting and consuming foods from hybrid variety seeds. I've done it many times. Saving seeds from opens and heirlooms is better.
I have ordered several times from cheapseeds.com. They have a limited selection of seeds but they really are cheap and shipping is free. I have always had excellent service. The seeds are usually shipped the same or next day.
