If there's already a previous thread on this, I apologize.
My question....what is up with Google dot com? What's with that big black square covering their logo on their search site? Am I missing something here?
Where’ve you been all day?
Google, Wikipedia and other sites are protesting the heavy handed PIPA and SOPA bills that would let Nobama Czars shut down any website until it proves its innocence.
Yes. You are missing something.
SOPA protest. Same with Wiki and others.
Easy there Fawn...I’m a nice guy. :-)
I’ve not really been online much the last day and a half and have fallen behind on current events.....there’s this thing called work that’s gotten in my way.
Have a good day and thanks. :-)
Take a look at Wikipedia for another protest.
or for the last month for that matter.....
Now WHAT do they have against SOUP!!??
You must not be logged in...:)
Actually, it's the protest.
In other news, Franco was deposed and is still dead. Sulfa drugs have been replaced by penicillin, and gold has been de-regulated, in case you missed those stories.
Yeah, which is funny because these are the same bunch of jackasses who just HAD to have Obama be president in ‘08.
Don’t ask questions. Just click on it and sign the petition.
Not SOUP, they are protesting SOAP
Hollywood pays millions of dollars to very bad actors and actresses to “star” in horrible movies with horrible plots and writing that don’t make any money. The music industry pays millions of dollars to worthless singers to make very bad music that no one wants. News services don’t present the news they make it. So instead they blame the INTERNET for their bad money loosing decisions. SOPA and PIPA would make you at fault in all this.
Just Portuguese soup.
If you want to know what “crony capitalism” looks like, look no further than SOPA and PIPA.
Baynative, thank you bud.
hey, it's a gigantic corporation run by children. Why not trust it?
You could click on that black box and find out.
The funny thing is, if you want to use Wikipedia today, you can simply use the "cached page" feature on Google to access the info you're looking for.
Been doing it all day (or at least as often as I've needed to go to Wikipedia) ;-)
Digital black arm band, covering the badge of “freedom”, as brought to you by those patriots at google who caved to the chicoms demand for censorship but now wish to express solidarity with the people.
I know it’s confusing but liberals usually are.
Ever notice that when others share the music it’s a business but when a suicide or mass murder occurs because of the music it’s “art”?
"it's a look inside of Odumbo's head
all English Wikipedia sites are completely down also.
Thank God Google and Wiki and others are making a LOUD noise about this fecal mater of legislation (SOPA).
As written, batrry the zero, skeletor pelosi, barney frank or any legislator with an ax to grind could shut FR down with a single email (ironic, eh?)
Ironic, isn't it? Kinda like the same thing the Dems in Congress found out the first time Obama started to ignore them and take "reign" over the country and make decisions on his on in true Dictatorship fashion.
Like the old saying: "Be careful what you wish for."
I thought it was International Electrical Tape Day.
Why are you using Google?
There is always someone who doesn’t get the word d;^)
I see that you’re from California. Been smoking crack with your main man Sheen?
Wow they are going against Obama just wow!
I wrote to my congressman and tried to write to my senators (either from Google or Wiki, I don’t remember which) and the Senate e-mail was down! I guess that means it couldn’t handle the complaints.
So if you got that message when you tried to write to your senators, try again!
Post vanities at your own risk! (Not to worry, I got flamed a few times myself);>)
That’s a rude question. One doesn’t toke and tell.
“Google, Wikipedia and other sites are protesting the heavy handed PIPA and SOPA bills that would let Nobama Czars shut down any website until it proves its innocence.”
Could be a win-win.
Two senior entertainment executives and Obama donors, who declined to speak on the record, said they would not give the president’s reelection effort further financial support because of his opposition to key parts of the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) and the Protect Intellectual Property Act (PIPA).
The two bills have been aggressively supported by the Motion Picture Assn. of America, which is Hollywood’s chief lobbying arm, and entertainment industry unions, as a way to combat global Internet piracy. But the two groups have received serious push back from a coalition of top Internet companies that argue the proposed bills are poorly designed and don’t have adequate civil liberties protections.
Are you logged in?
I would answer your question, but I’m protesting SOPA today.
Hey BTW some of the stuff leaked out on Obama in recent books sounded like the UM Insider stuff.
