LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- A class reading assignment infuriates the parents of a 14-year-old Valley Traditional High School student.
They said their daughter's questions about the book left them speechless.
The book is called "The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian." "She was masturbating and (describing) how to masturbate and how she did it and also giving a boy a (expletive) and going into great detail of how to perform it," said Vincent.
Vincent took the book to her daughter's step-father, who became speechless.
"Her being the age that she's in right now, you just freeze up. You don't know what to say to a child that young," said the girl's father, Michael Basham.
It has been around since 2007, and even received the National Book Award for young people's literature.
But it has also been banned in several school systems.
The girls' parents said Jefferson County Public Schools should be one of them.
"She just started showing me all these pages all this deep detail, and it just blew my mind," said Amanda Vincent, the student's mother.
When Vincent's 14-year old daughter began reading "The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian," she became upset. Vincent couldn't believe the actions described by one of the literary characters.

Fortunately in Texas, proposed textbooks have to be approved by the Texas Education Agency before they can be adopted by local school districts. There’s lots of conservative activists involved in the review process, so it’s hard for leftists to ram through leftist propaganda into public school text books.
It is what I have been repeating hundreds of times. Burn textbooks and destroy the DOE. It is out to intentionally destroy your children and make slaves of them.
Sex Ed is designed by cultural Marxists to destroy the innocence of children. When they do teach sex to young children—they remove morality from it and reduce it to an animal act. They expose kids at young ages to sick ideas where their focus is reduced to body parts instead of intellectual pursuit. They become cynical and distrustful of adults and they make fun of the opposite sex. They lose all respect for the opposite sex and become obsessed by sex since the adults seem to be focused on it. Children emulate the adults. You teach them about sex and they will engage in it.
Children are too immature to even understand the emotional aspects of the sexual act. Innocence in children was considered important after Rousseau and the middle ages—which didn’t protect children. Rousseau stated that intellectual capacity and growth is destroyed to large extent once you get children interested in sex. Yes, you can sexualize children. Abused 5 year olds are known to hump other children on playgrounds. It is learned behavior—like homosexuality. They normalize it—children do it and it destroys children and their future. They become addicts and mentally ill. Homosexuality is actually a mental illness caused by emotional and physical abuse in young children and during sexual identity formation.
Since Sex Ed was inserted into public schools-—morality and God has been destroyed-—promiscuity, abortions, STD’s etc., are up 700 % or more. Cultures can not exist without sexual restraint-—and sex ed encourages sex and promiscuity in children. (I think they are grooming the boys for the pederasts like Jerry Brown must be.)
They strip all behavior of morality-—and all cultures collapse if the have immoral people—you can have no economic prosperity when people are immoral and there is no trust. Plato knew that and Machiavelli and the Founders said that Virtue was necessary in all Republics for freedom.
Corrupting children is easiest to do by destroying morality by teaching the sex acts and normalizing unnatural sex acts like sodomy which destroys all logic and cognitive skills. They will be easily brainwashed and conditioned—because they have no analytical skills-—destroyed by cognitive dissonance. You can’t teach Lies to kids and then expect logical thinking. Never will happen.
Destroy the family and you destroy the emotional and normal sexual development of all children. Marxists are out to kick out God (destroys our legal system and Natural Rights) and create immoral people so govt. can take total control because otherwise you have complete chaos.

Yeah - it’s putrid and sickening but does no one ever proofread what they write? I simply cannot read articles that have contradictory information in them.
No problem there. The agenda is to utterly destroy children then America from the inside.
Parents who hear about this probably think it's to absurd to be true.

LOL. I watched some of those discussions they had. The liberal heads were exploding. I can’t remember all the stuff they were arguing about.
One thing I do remember was how the libs wanted to eliminate all that old stuff about the founding fathers and include more about more recent years in order to be more interesting and relevant to today’s children.
Does the same thing apply to required reading materials??

I have been to librarian’s conventions, the large book trade shows, not a heterosexual in the bunch.
Indeed, they emulate your very movements. I think most parents fail to recognize the dominating influence they have, mostly because their children devote so much effort to disobedience.
You teach them about sex and they will engage in it.
This stands in contradiction to your immediately preceding statement, it seems to me. You can talk all you want, they will watch what you do.
I would suggest that the parents should push for prosecution of the teacher for just that.
What I would like to know is what would the typical legal consequences be in most states if you just beat the living crap out of the teacher?

Let the kids be kids, at least for a little while. Why burden them with adult matters like Oral Sex and masterbation? This I blame on Bill Clinton.
You make an excellent point! Just having the book in the workplace would likely be interpreted as creating a hostile work environment.
