At the 1964 World's Fair in New York the Wisconsin Pavilion displayed the world's largest cheese.
Using 16,000 cows to produce 170,000 quarts of milk, Wisconsin had the ingredients they need to make the world's largest cheese.
The world's largest cheese measured a cheddary 14 1/2 x 6 1/2 x 5 1/2 feet and weighed a cheesy 34,591 pounds.
We have a picture of a replica as the original cheese was eaten long ago.
Still remember the family road trips from Washington State to Illinois to see Grandma and Grandpa.
All the sites along the way,can still remember The Wonder Spot at the Wisconsin Dells.
Did someone cut that cheese?
Somebody must have, luckily it was cheddar and not gouda ;)
My stepson married into the Sargento Cheese family. I will send him this article.
Or Handkase!
I dunno, but don’t we need a picture of the world’s largest moose?
