Mexi cartels are known to grow pot in our Southern Oregon forests. Sadly, if they wandered into an area staked out for this, they are more likely to end up producing morels than harvesting them.

I really don’t know but I recall our friends going out in the late Spring. Like you, our yard sprouts fungus in the fall and wet springs. Nothing there just now.

It sounds like they found something they weren’t supposed to see.

That's what I am thinking. I had a client fishing with me this last summer, from Medford, who told me there is a special sheriff's task force just for pot grower apprehension in that part of Oregon.
The Siskouyou (?) National Forest has "hundreds" of grow sites, his words.
Perhaps a Freeper who lives in the area could confirm or deny that statement, but I do know this; we rode ATV's thousands of miles on those logging roads 10 years ago and didn't see much of anybody. Of course we were out before dark...

I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one who wastes his time watching that dumb show. Ranae appears to be the only one with a lick of common sense but I think that the peer pressure is starting to get to her.
After watching the show, my sons and I have developed a sure-fire way to tell if there is a Sasquatch in the woods. If you hear an unidentifiable noise, it is Sasquatch. If the woods are silent, it is because all the animals know a Sasquatch is present and are hiding. If you hear clearly-identifiable animal noises, it is the animals warning one another that a Sasquatch is present. Absolutely conclusive evidence. (I'm sure Matt, BoBo, and Cliff would agree.)

I’m sure there’s a subliminal message in there somewhere. Do I need to play it backwards?
