Sent this to some of my "GOP/Conservative" friends today. Gotta keep up the fight. Thanks for your help, Bray.

If the choice is between somebody who is known to be the worst Potus ever, who is known to be hostile to the People of the US, I will vote for the Nominee whoever it is.

What is most sickening in this, Mary, is that (I believe) the only way Obama (or whatever his name is) will be reelected will be through voter fraud and the computer hacking of voter machines. Our elections are perverted and stolen by the communists, and have been for many years now. Oh, we can’t PROVE it, necessarily, but with the anecdotal evidence, it is clear.

Some will vote for the status quo.
Some will vote for anyone but.
Some will vote for the lesser of two evils.
Some will not vote because of cynicism.
Some will not vote.
Some will vote for their principles.

Between all these factions, a united leftist front will win.

We will win when we unite under one principled leader and agenda.

This has not happened - yet.

2016...

I hear where you’re coming from, Mary, and in the primary battle we have to do what we can to get a conservative.

Once it comes to the general election we’re talking a totally different ballgame though. If Romney wins the primary we will have a choice between Romney and Adolf Hitler.

And I don’t say that lightly. We are literally in the same position as the Reichstag right before they passed the Enabling Act of 1933. All the players had their reasons to give Hitler permission to make laws all by himself, even to the point of overturning the Constitution. Political reasons. Their politics was more important than any serious consideration of what a madman would do with that kind of power. The social conservatives wanted Germany to recognize the Vatican (and had a promise from Hitler that he would do this). The fiscal moderates wanted to break gridlock and get the economy back on track. The communists were already in concentration camps. They were all surrounded by the Gestapo so their self-preservation had an effect as well.

But in the end, they silently consented to the deaths of 11 million innocent people because they handed over absolute power to a madman because they were miffed about their own political agenda.

We are watching the rule of law totally destroyed - all the checks and balances run over roughshod while Obama’s czars and everybody in his administration laughs at subpoenas and any laws or rules anybody cites. And even as we speak Obama is laying the groundwork for sharia. It is no accident that he is forcing Roman Catholic hospitals to perform abortions, etc that are totally opposed to their faith; it is conditioning, because eventually ALL OF US non-Muslims will have to broken of our faith, which will be illegal. That’s what sharia means.

I could say much, much more. But suffice it to say that we are literally dealing with Hitler. I know we’re all frustrated, and I’ve said that I wanted to just sit out the election, etc. But we need to be very, very serious about this.

If Adolf Hitler was running against Mitt Rommey would you really vote for Hitler, or refuse to vote against Hitler? Because that is literally where we’re at right now.

This election may be like a lot of the elections involving our Texas Gov. Rick Perry. Several times we had to choose between Perry and other candidates that were far worse than Perry. Who do you vote for? The douche bag or turd sandwich?

But that is where the comparison stops. Obama is not a turd sandwich, he is death to the country. He is bankruptcy, he is a house set afire by an arsonist. While I'd prefer someone else Romney is wonderful compared to Obama. And he is a Mormon. I know a lot of Mormons. Say what you want about their religion but I'd prefer someone that would give me the shirt off their back (even a strange undergarment) than someone that would take everything from me and my family then cut our heads off.

I won't sit on my hands and not vote as others have said they would if Romney is the nominee. I'll support him to the hilt. In the meantime it is too early to pick a winner. The process needs to keep going, at least until Super Tuesday....

No. We will unite to vote against Hitler. We must. The alternative is beyond even considering.

As long as whoever we nominate is not a tyrannical Hitler like the usurper who stole our White House in 2008 we can restore the checks and balances and get back to saner ground. No matter how bad somebody’s politics is, if they submit to the rule of law and the Constitutional checks and balances they can never do as much damage as the Hitler of the USA.

I am sorry but I do not agree. Obama must be kept from a 2nd term even if we have to vote for a flawed conservative like Romney.

In Romney, we have the equivalent of the orange juice can that Mark Levin referred to. Sadly, it is like 2008 again except this time I suspect we may get Crispy Cream as a VP and not a real conservative like Sarah Palin.

If Obama gets in for a second term unconstrained, the country is finished. Even if he doesn’t, I’m not sure we will be able to recover from the damage that has already been done.

ANY nominee is better than 4 more years of Obama...who will literally destroy this nation.

I would vote for a sack of potatoes over Obama. At least a sack of potatoes wouldn’t screw the whole country.

And that’s pretty much how people need to see it. Right now we need somebody who will not drive the country full-speed toward the cliff after first disabling all the Constitution’s brakes to keep anybody from being ABLE to do that.

We’ve got a lawless madman at the wheel driving at breakneck speed with a disabled vehicle.

Even a sack of potatoes would at least let go of the accelerator. People have GOT to see the critical point we’re at. And I’m hoping that his forced abortions (forcing the Mother Theresas of the world to perform abortions they believe to be murder) will help people see this guy for who he really is: a suicide bomber flying our plane into some buildings unless we can tackle him and divert this plane.

(Sorry to mix metaphors, but I think you get the point)

A “flawed conservative” would be a vast improvement over Romney.

2016...

It IS well within consideration and it will come to pass- just watch and see.

We will unite when we have a prinipled leader and a solid Constitutional agenda.

While I agree with many of your points Mary, the reality is that we are dealing with the electorate we have. Even if Romney was only better than Obama on one issue, I’d still vote for him over our current President.

Also, I believe that if the House and the Senate pass the Ryan budget, Romney will probably sign it. It will be our best shot at getting broad entitlement reform and probably a significant tax cut.

“.. we can restore the checks and balances and get back to saner ground.”

Wise words.

“Some will vote for the status quo.
Some will vote for anyone but.
Some will vote for the lesser of two evils.
Some will not vote because of cynicism.
Some will not vote.
Some will vote for their principles.

Between all these factions, a united leftist front will win.”

Another good take.

This is indeed a struggle against evil, and a struggle of conscience; to do what is right and to do what is best, and hopefully they are not mutually exclusive.

I’m going to give the GOP primaries a chance.

I’ll go from there.

I can’t bring myself to vote for Romney, for the reasons you gave and more. The establishment thinks we will roll over again and do whatever they want after lying, cheating and stealing. We’re suppose to be like the wife who always takes back her cheating husband. As long as we do what they want they will continue taking us for granted. We don’t know what will happen with this primary. Romney might explode, a real conservative might run third party. We need to pray.
