WASHINGTON On a trip to Ireland in 1998, Speaker Newt Gingrich researched his Irish roots, discussed the prospects for peace in Northern Ireland and entertained speculation about his presidential ambitions. He even donned work gloves and blue jeans to help build a home in Belfast for a good-will project.
Two of the sponsors for part of the Ireland trip were frequent partners of Mr. Gingrich: Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae the government-backed housing industry giants that Mr. Gingrich has denounced as he fights to stay in contention against Mitt Romney in the Republican primaries.

More about Newt's relationships with Fanny Mae and Freddie Mac (they're longer than his marriages...and probably nastier).

If I recall correctly, a certain democratic senator from Illinois was among the top recepients of Fannie and Freddie campaign donations in the mid-2000s.

FM and FM have released the contracts. FM and FM forbade lobbing. Gingrich was paid personally $300K over two years for historical information. The Gingrich Group was paid $1.7 million over ten year.
This issue is just getting stupid.

Yeah from the New York Times that is scared crapless that Gingrich might beat their Dictator Obama.
Gingrich is our only hope Romney couldnt do a good job of beating his pudding.

I don’t remember hearing anything from the NY Times about Obama’s deep ties to Fanny Mae and Freddie Mac. Funny, that.

As an LDS Romney supporter, why don’t you start responding to some of the posts to you?
My inquiry is, would you tell us what your man Bishop Romney has ever done for conservatism?

I am curious. Can you tell me one major thing that Romney has done to really help conservatives, or even republicans.

The article is held up as an example of the type of news responsible for the demise of NYT. Did you read about all the jobs cut and changes in bonuses , etc that has the employees in news department livid?

So it's ok and proper to assault Newt on Fannie and Freddie, but it is completely unholy and attacking capitalism for bringing up the destruction of corporations by Bain Capital and Mitt, is that correct?
