1. a nest, especially one in which insects, spiders, etc., deposit their eggs.

The GAB is a nidus of liberal activism in Wisconsin as demonstrated by their recent ruling that they will not accept complaints of petition fraud from anyone except the individual campaigns of the legislators that are being recalled. The GAB is the antithesis of its name. In fact, I have long called them the Government UN-accountability board.
The nidus of those who infect us is Washington, D.C.
They need us more than we need them.
Under their rock, the lib nidus
Conjures new taxes to bite us
“Fool them all; make them eat
From the government teat
No worries; the media will hide us”
Let's kick them out of the US, send them to Europe, and use the UN building for those businesses who were originally at the WTC.

Our town historian says this is King Nidus, who had the golden touch and was touched about gold. I think he had a daughter name of Bling.

Is Nadis another word? :-)
You must be thinking of nadir, nidus is pronounced with the long i sound. Nadir would be a good follow up word for nadir to soundly confuse everyone. LOL

you know i was a latin american studies major so that kind of stuff appeals to me regardless of the ancient hockey player aspect, but that’s pretty dang cool.

dang i KNEW it was Olmec, i should’ve said so. i just googled it and i was right! Olmecs were my fave. i love their heads.
BTW aol had a list of colleges for the socially awkward, and CMU was like 5th. i LOLed, and said isn’t that the dang truth! ; )
The heads and other carvings are from La Venta, in a musuem/park here. The pyramids are a Comalcalco. Interesting thing there is that these are built of brick, not stone, like the other pyramids in Mexico.
It’s entirely possible to got to CMU and acquire no experience with the opposite sex whatsoever. The entire school was 3:1 male:female when I was there, and engineering was about 9:1.

I wouldn’t. You’re still going to skew male in engineering and computer science. Especially at the tails of the distribution.
Guess it all depends on what kind of tails you are distributing.
