Well! Why doesn’t he move in a stripper pole and install a condom machine on every pew too!
People need to have their head checked sometimes.

Tattoos are not cool, they are ugly and make the person look tacky.

Absolutely correct.
If we were perfect, there would be no need for the Cross.

well, in this case this is not a church but a meeting-hall. Let the self-taught guy do what he likes, maybe he gets people to turn to God. good for him

Completely agree.
There are people in prison ministries who are tattooed to the hilt with their personal journey to Christ. They can’t take Bibles in, so do this when asked can present the Plan of Salvation.
There are bikers, surfers, and others who tattoo the Plan of Salvation on there arms and backs so when asked can present The Plan of Salvation.
Tattoos are used for a variety of reasons, if the group can use this avenue to witness and be instrumental in winning people for Christ I say good for them.
We are to go to the people, not have the people come to us. The purpose of the Church (Body of Christ) is not to be served but to serve, if this group can serve a particular group who would otherwise not hear the Word of God, I wish them well.
As Christians we need to step out of our comfort zones and move, our churches have become less bold and more comfort, legalistic and “prosperity” oriented - that is the shame.

I completely agree with you both! I'm blessed to serve my "ministry" at a local homeless mission. Some of these people wouldn't ever enter a church (in the beginning they feel unworthy) so we NEED to bring the WORD to them....any way we can! Jesus didn't stand at a pulpit to speak his WORD in churches....he brought it to the people in the streets.

"You shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the LORD." (Leviticus 19:28)
No marks on the flesh. I know many dismiss this saying, "We're not doing this for the dead." That qualification applies to ritual cuttings for the dead. I had my appendix removed and needed a "cutting in my flesh", but it wasn't for the dead. The prohibition against marks on the flesh is unqualified.
God reserves to himself the privilege of marking us (Revelation 3:12), not anyone else.

Funny you should say that. My church rents out the top floor of the Eagles Hall, which has a bar in the basement. I keep waiting for our church to purchase shot glasses for them inscribed with “Give us a shot!” and our church logo. So far it hasn’t happened. I am a firm believer in meeting the lost where they are- just as Jesus did.

Sounds like a fun place. A person could duck down stairs for quick sip during the singing if they sat in the back.
