I was talking about the hard rubber toys with the hole in the middle. Put a little peanut butter in there and you’re set.
Anecdotal at best.
As a forum in general we always view the press with a wary eye. All of the sudden when our pets are involved the MSM is gospel.
Remember, this is a very “emotional” subject and the press exploits that fact.
When it comes to clothing, “Made in the USA” often means “Made in a sweatshop in L.A. by illegal aliens”. People like to imagine the gleaming textile mills of yore in North Carolina, filled with happy, near-middle-class, Republican-voting garment workers, but for the most part those places ceased to exist long ago. For better quality, non-Chinese clothing, look for “Made in Canada” or “Made in Turkey”, instead.
So long as people want cheap shirts there will not be a market for American middle class workers manufacturing them. Hard to out compete Sri Lanka on sewing shirts.
Luckily we don't have to. They can make us shirts and we can make them food and guns and medicine and entertainment and the other things we do like nobody else.
The last set of links are from the government.
Just because they have not pinpointed...doesn't mean it is not happening. Running the wrong tests=wrong results.
This is looking like some kind of chemical contaminate and there are thousands of tests needed to identify it. I have a strong suspicion what it might be since the chicken is sourced through China. I would be curious to know if these dogs were on heartworm medications and if the China source is using an arsenic laced chicken feed like Nitro-3 or Roxarsone equivalent. A combination of the two may be what is leading to the symptoms and based on the reports many of the symptoms are similar to arsenic poisoning.
And all the sudden everything thrown out by the government is gospel?
Arsenic in even minute quantities is VERY easily identified in even the most basic of contaminate testing. If the “government” had anything solid they’d have demanded a recall.
I make my own âWaggin Trainâ chicken treats. Cook a whole chicken. Cut the meat into chunks and strips. Then microwave the strips and pieces of chicken 30 seconds to 1 minute over and over until you get the desired texture. A lot of treats can be made from one whole chicken. It is cheaper than buying premium bags of treats. My treats stay dry in a paper bag on the shelf and in the fridge.
I believe you are a voice of reason here. I want my dog to be safe and I give him Purina One, Alpo snaps and Blue Dog Bakery treats.
However, he makes his own choices on our walks and being a huge lab, he is not particular and too fast to stop when he sees a nauseating but tasty scrap of something.
I think we can become too fearful and paranoid. There is arsenic in the water I drink and it’s very tasty. I miss it in bottled water.
A lot of people drink bottled water without realizing it’s no better for you than tap water.
We’ve become a nation of ninny nannies. Unless one’s dog was autopsied, there is no way to know what caused a sudden death. If nothing new was given to the dog, it probably isn’t the dog food or treats.
America must support China through ‘free trade’. If our standards are higher than the exporting countries, it’s called a ‘barrier to trade’ and is VERBOTEN.
You think you have rights in this country....but the transnational corporations have all the rights, and you have none!
“Would you eat them?”
No, and I don’t lick my balls either.
I don’t think you can do the second thing unless you’re extremely limber, but it’s got nothing to do with the first one. In general I agree that the media blows things out of proportion, but I do have some concerns about things coming out of China and I don’t know that we can trust our government on this. Or much of anything else.

A Yorkie?
Try the ultra high-protein Hunter Mix.....
- Live rabbit!
.
{A Yorkie?]
My previous little dog was a Peke-A-Poo named Potlatch
You know I have a Yorkie now.
I never heard of Hunter Mix, it may not still be around, but puppy food is very high in protein and then you are supposed to taper off when they reach a certain age.
A rabbit would be as big or bigger than Piper, lol.
.
Tex got Hunter Mix, Rabbit Mix, Badger Mix, and Possum Mix
.
Strange mix unless you mean the local wildlife!
.
Exactly!
