This is just too dang funny. Nazis from the dark side of the moon, the world in chaos, bad acting, bad dialogue, bad writing.....sounds like a guilty pleasure on the same level as "Plan 9 from outer space" or "Mars Attacks!".
Oh yeah, a poorly impersonated Palin (as president) with southern voice mannerisms?

Well, it’s political allegory. The Nazi’s are the Republicans and the action represents the 2012 presidential election.
“You see! You see! Your stupid minds! Stupid! Stupid!”
I wouldnt think so. It was made by Finns who couldnt care less about US politics. Anyway, its been in production for several years ie before Obama became president, never mind before 2012 elections.
Have you ever seen their Star Trek/B5 parodies? Very very funny.
“Iron Sky” has been looking for backers, based on a trailer, for at least five years.
I donated a few bucks. The B5/ST parodies are pretty funny.
Did you watch the trailer? As unlikely as it may seem, the Finns, who do care about ticket sales, correctly(?) recognized that some from the far left in the (second?) largest movie market in the world would love a trashy movie with a pro-war President Palin, and that some patriotic Americans would love a trashy movie with any President Palin. Filming was after the 2008 election, and this is definitely not an accident.
Any resemblance between the actress and Sarah Palin is superficial, but the wardrobe, glasses, rifle, polar bear, and non-standard accent are all intended to hint at President Palin. It looks like a terrible movie, but the Palin references are real, and it might be a fun bad movie.
The real Palin (count the parallels):
If one looks quick enough, the giant American space battleship is named the George W. Bush.
