In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of "Word for the Day".
idoneous \ahy-DOH-nee-uhs\ adjective
Appropriate; fit; suitable; apt.
Example sentences:
As far as benefices are concerned no one could be more idoneous, fitting or suitable than Martin, since he is an Anglican clergyman.
-- Patrick O'Brian, The Truelove
It would hardly be possible to apply less idoneous adjectives to it than Watson's reiterated "wailing" and "haunting."
-- Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, The Adventure of the Mazarin Stone
Etymology:
Idoneous is derived from the Latin word idōneus which meant "suitable."
The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-)

Idoneous.
Pronounced “ahy DOH nee us”. from the flatlander, Dr. Shrinkwrap, “Idoneous is the excessive devotion to the Idomobile”.
Folks eat, sleep, live, die and attempt to score with the waitress from the truck stop in their cars, sometimes all at once. Downright idonaltry!

I recall the odd question from George Stephanopoulos during the ABC debate about contraception. The panjandrum, Mitt Romney, responded "it's working just fine, leave it alone". Then, the sage, Newt Gingrich, responded with a rant on the attacks on the Catholic Church. Of all the candidates, Newt read the leftwing cacography on the wall accurately. We should have realized, like Newt, that this was a tenebrific minatory question meant to test the zeitgeist. At the time, the question came out of left field, a gallimoufry of odd things that made you scratch your head and say WTH. Now we realize that it was a very idoneous question after all. And people wonder why
I like Newt.

To the Dems, Obama was idoneous
Black, Liberal, so sanctimonious.
But what’s done since ‘09
Can’t be farther from fine-
His actions are downright felonious.

Newt consistently lists what he would do to right the wrongs of the past four years. Watched the Greta interview, and he listed exactly jow to get the price of gas down. She tried to push him on how to get it down tomorrow, but he refused to be baited, and just replied that opening up the US drilling would remove the built-in risk factor of the middle east that is in the oil futures. He makes a damned awful lot of sense. Always. He needs to focus on his message.
Plus, I cannot help but anticipate an Obama/Gingrich debate. What will Bams do without a teleprompter? I am not sure he would agree to debate Newt. Period.
