I wish I had the pension he’ll be eligible for.

I’ll miss watching hitters corkscrew into the ground after missing that floater.

We're also going to try to replace some of our older servers and failing equipment this year so we're going to add a little extra to our FReepathon goals. John is estimating ten to fifteen thousand to do this and I'd like to get it all in place and working before the election cycle is fully heated up, so we'll try to bring in a little more now if we can and the rest next quarter.

I won’t miss the titanic home runs when they didn’t miss.

Wakefield’s had a great run. My college roommate saw Wakefield play for the Carolina Mudcats, and I’ve kept an eye on his career ever since. There is almost always one knuckleballer around — it took a few years for Wakefield to take up Niekro’s torch. We’ll see someone emerge in the next few years.

Bob Uecker, when asked how to catch a knuckleball: “I wait until it stops rolling, then pick it up”.

You're right. Wikipedia says there are a few in the minors. I wish more pitchers would throw them. It's fun to watch.

Most likely seems to be Seattle Mariners’ Charlie Haeger. Many pitchers, BTW, push a knuckleball on rare occasions.

Sadly... the Twins will pick him up and pay him $25M for one year.
