Legal, really? What about the ‘privacy rights’ of the plantation owners? Just who owns the airspace immediately over a property?

Its perfectly legal to shoot a TOY on private property also.

That’s the issue. It wasn’t above the property in question. It was airborne adjacent to said property. You might make a case that you can protect the airspace above your property, but no case to be made at all for shooting anything in the outside the boundaries but viewable from that property.
