“Looks like Obama wins 4 more years.”

Why, you think Newt will win the primary?

Santorum has an excellent shot at 0 if he’s the nominee. :-)

Ridiculous. If a person can’t win their own party in the primaries they have no chance to beat Obama at all.

Obama stinks and more people than we know are not saying it, but they know.

Newt is finished if he loses Georgia. It’s a Santorum/Romney race.

It was 100 votes.

Read the whole article, not just the headline.

(I’m not saying this to you per se, but to everyone who only reads headlines.)

Really?

Please explain to me which state Santorum would lose that John McCain carried?

Please explain to me why Santorum would not pick up at least the conservative part of the vote in NC and IN that McCain lost ground on to Bush from 2004 that would be enough to carry those states?

Please tell me how picking a Marco Rubio or Allen West does not help carry Florida? Or helps compete in the SW in NM, CO (with Tancredo’s endorsement) or NV, all key battleground states.

Please tell me why Santorum cannot pick-up VA despite the fact we’ll have a key Senate race with George Allen trying to get his seat back, where Santorum will run far better outside Northern VA than McCain did, and not get blown out in Loudon or Prince William Counties?

Please tell me why Santorum can pick up on the conservative margins that McCain lost in OH?

From there, it takes one state to get to 270. A poll already came out that shows Santorum ahead of Obama in IA, and that’s all he would need to win the election. But Santorum is also running strongest in the midwest of the three candidates.

I’ve analyzed the counties and I know where the voters are. If you’re going to make a statement like that (Santorum can’t win), you’d better be able to back it up.

vote total might be small, but I still think it’s relevant. It seems it was run by the County GOP and independent of the campaigns since the Paultards didnt appear able to manipulate it.

What I find interesting is Romney may not qualify for the 20% threshold or finish strongly anywhere in GA to get delegates. If this is the case, then Santorum won’t have to win Georgia, he’ll just need a solid 2nd and will probably get out of there with at least 35 delegates based on how GA apportions it delegates.

It’s not that Newt is in trouble in GA, it’s that if he can’t win GA with a 50% majority, he’s not going to win the bulk of all 76 delegates that everyone thinks he’ll have for winning the state. You’re looking right now at a 44-32 delegate split between he and Santorum at best. That’s not going to get the job done.

I hope either Santorum or Gingirch are left standing alone to confront Mittens. If Santorum blows away Mittens in Michigan and blows away Gingrich in Georgia, he is the conservative alternative to Romney. Unless ONE of them - Gingrich or Santorum prevails, it will go to a brokered convention where the establishment RINOs will select Jeb Bush, Mitch Daniels or Chris Christie.

Santorum is a major turn off. He reminds me of the busy body neighbor who wants to stick his nose in your business. YUCK.
