I have been into Bigfoot since I was a kid and my logic adult mind I say no way such a thing could exist, yet a part says anything is possible.

And it is all “proven” without any definitive photographic or video evidence, just some random sounds.

The place feels 'squatchy'! What more evidence is needed?

Why Kentucky? One can easily spot two of them wandering around 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue when not otherwise globetrotting on vacation...

Check 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. I hear it likes boob belts and dredging out as much from the public trough as humanly possible.

Even with quite rare animals, such as the Florida panther, one eventually gets hit be a car, or a carcass is found. This hasn’t happened with Bigfoot. If there are any Bigfoots, they aren’t in reasonably populated or traveled areas. There is no such thing as Bigfoot. Sorry.

Disclaimer: I am as big a fan of cryptozoology as anyone, and a big fan of Bernard Heuvelmanns. (On the Track of Unknown Animals is one of the most interesting books ever written.) I’m not saying that there aren’t some unusual things still out there someone, but simply that Bigfoot—at least in the lower 48 states—just isn’t one of them.

Living in Oregon my entire life and knowing thousands who have hunted and logged the woods yet never heard of anybody seeing one, it is a hoax. Perhaps they should try Central Park, you know there have been sightings there?

This show is such a fine demonstration of the progressive scientific method. Assume bigfoot exists until proven that it doesn’t.

I don't watch much TV but my son was here last week and we watched "Turtleman- Pawn Stars - and several Bigfoot shows.

The Bigfoot show itself is a traveling hoax that just moves around from one part of the country to another. There is a certain fascination to it because you can see otherwise rational people telling some incredible stories.

If a big foot existed it would have been shot by a hunter, tracked down by dogs, killed by a grizzly bear, hit by a vehicle, died in the forest from natural causes or an accident,or got dementia and wandered into a town. So far, no body. And there won't be one.

My kids and I watch this show. It's hysterical.

I can't figure out if they're all just goofing around or if they really believe the crap they spout.

"Look, these trees are broken at just the height a bigfoot would break them at."

All very scientificky. Now I have to buy my kids "Gone Squatchin'" hats.

How about 1600 Penn Ave in D.C.?

Hmmm, after all these years; no carcass, no bones, no nothing. Well, I guess I shouldn't say nothing; we have loads of those stupid foot plaster casts, anecdotal stories up the wazoo, and conveniently shaky video footage.

This is beyond being a joke.

I’ve never seen a Bigfoot...but I’ve been out camping a lot and have heard some very strange noises...so I’m pretty sure they exist.

Somewhere on the Internet I found a map of all reported Bigfoot sightings. One that interested me was nearby Washington D.C., so I clicked on the little flag to learn the story. It seems that sometime in the ‘60s a guard reported that Bigfoot approached one of the back gates to the Quantico Marine Base out of the Prince William Forrest. While that forrest is big enough to hide many things, I was more interested in what would possess a Marine guard to report seeing Bigfoot even if one did walk up to his gate, and, of course, what happened to him (not Bigfoot) afterward.

I’m going with the latter. They admit to finding no evidence, but the know they are in Kentucky, specifically the Daniel Boon National Forrest.

All very scientificky - LOL

I don't equate this show with true scientific interest in the phenomenon.

It is like stating global warming caused by mankind is a fact because everyone believes it is.

I am careful to point out to my kids that all of these people are actors and are only on tv to sell the sponsors products.

Those strange noises are probably bigfoot calls coming from the lunatics on that show. - Tom

50/50 on wether Bigfoot is real.

When I was a kid in the mid 50's there was an area of Chacahoula swamp we kids avoided like the plague.
Farm workers wouldn't work the adjacent fields without being armed.
What was seen every now and then by them was the complete Bigfoot description.
Nobody down here had heard of Bigfoot or Sasquatch or what ever back then.

Makes me wonder just remembering back.
