I’m pretty sure that had I been born black I would be very disappointed by such a thing as a museum of African-American history. It suggests that there is a separate history— an alternate narrative for blacks than for the rest of the American experience.

I would rather see a museum of American history, which honestly captures one common narrative of the story of the nation. There is only one history. It belongs to all of us. There are not different histories or separate time-loops for the telling of different versions of history.

That picture tells more than a thousand words. Those 2 are the complete opposite of CLASS and this picture, IMHO shows just that. They both look very “small” as Laura is walking by. There is absolutely nothing Genuine about either of them and they look pitiful as Pres. + First lady of the U.S.A. .

Agreed! I have many comments.

(1) Is Mo wearing a mini skirt or did she leave her shorty pajamas on under that ugly coat? My gawd she is disgusting! How absolutely low class and vulgar!!! Maybe she wanted to be a street walker so she dresses like one and hopes she can entice someone to pay attention to her. Or maybe she is hoping to show off some of her new $50,000 lingere.

(2) These two are always scowling at every public function that is not focused on them, or held in their honor. Barack, especially, seems to have permanant scowl lines on his face now. I guess it is too much trouble to appear at functions where they have to pretend to be interested or patriotic.

(3) I have noticed that Barack never puts his hand directly over his heart to show respect for our flag, or National Anthem. His hand is always slightly lower. I think this is a deliberate misplacement...because he does not really want to show respect...but he has to do something. Heaven knows his arms are long enough that his hand could be placed in the appropriate spot, but than, that would not bide well with his Muslim cronies and true allegiance.

More and more I am convinced that he never placed his hand on the Bible at that second SECRET/CLOSED TO THE PRESS AND PUBLIC, swearing in with Chief Justice, Roberts, after messing up the words at the Inaguration. I believe he either did use a Koran, or nothing, and that he took no real vow to protect our country and our Constitution. Every action since that day confirms his disregard for the Constitution, our security, our national status, and our economy. There is no way that intruder in our White House has one ounce of love for America.

(4) These are two of the angriest, most self-centered, narcissistic, fraudulent, and least appreciative people on earth. They have been given so much...and could have done so much good, but instead they have harbored their hatred and spread the disease of jealousy throughout the country. They are absolutely without dignity or appreciation.

Barack and Michelle deserve each other, who else would want them, or want to be around such unhappy and overly-sensitive people? I am sure they are as miserable alone together as they seem to be in public. I can just imagine the screaming battles and fights like ghetto kids that they must have behind the WH doors. Yet the media continues to cover for them and "hype" up and lie about their phony "happy marriage." Even their daughters show the signs of stress of being in an unhappy, dysfunctional family. Look at all the photos we have seen...unless they are getting ice cream or being treated to a vacation, they never smile. I hope someone from the WH staff can write a "tell all" book when the Obama's move out. And I hope that is soon.

There is no way she has lost that much weight in a month. And, no way at all that she grew a set of boobies. But...she did spend $50,000 on underwear, remember? I think she had some custom made undies to hold in and lift up. Probably a waist to ankle girdle, fancy corset, etc.

Now I am all for applauding anyone who can lose weight, and if she did so, she deserves congratulations. But it seems mighty suspicious that Michelle appears "suddenly slim" (and snas the vulgar, oft-seen camel toe), after her trip to that expensive lingerie store last month. And, unless she had implants, there is no way she became "suddely busty."

On the other hand, she supposedly has a new lover...hmmmm...guess that could be motivation for slimming down and getting some sexy undies. LOL.

Agreed. One of the concerns I have about this is that it amounts to self-segregation. If I'm a non-black tourist family visiting DC, I'm going to go to NASM, The Museum of Natural History and the Museum of American History. Given the other sites/sights to see in the area, and unless members of my family have specialty interests in other areas (like art), that's all that we're going to have time to do because you need at least two, maybe three, days to cover all three of those museums and then move on to other things (like the Memorials/Monuments, Ford's Theater/House where Lincoln Died, major Federal buildings).

And in doing so will miss a HUGE portion of American History because things like the Greensboro lunch counter and the old "Field to Factory" exhibit will be in a completely different facility.

The National Mall will be incredibly cluttered with monuments in years to come when we get a woman, Hispanic, gay, etc. president.
