Pujols always understood who the “Man” was in St Louis. As much as I hated seeing him leave my favorite team, he always showed respect for the heritage of the franchise. Stan the Man is a living icon. Pujols understands. Stan is up there in respect of all baseball fans with Yogi Berra as class acts that are bigger than todays players egos. Pujols is one bad hombre though

He is a US citizen. Born in the Dominican Republic, immagrated 1996 with family while still in highschool, naturalized 2007.
