“Forecasters predict that a new ice age will begin soon,” says this article on russia-ic.com. “Habibullo Abdusamatov, a scientist from the Pulkovo Observatory of the Russian Academy of Sciences considers that the sharp drop in temperature will start on the Earth in 2014.
“According to the scientist, our planet began to “get cold” in the 1990s. The new ice age will last at least two centuries, with its peak in 2055.

I don’t expect an “ice age” of the glacial type. More of a maunder minimum type.
But, ya never know...
Does this mean that horses will grow bigger...?
The article indicates a Maunder minimum or little ice age although “peaking” in 2055 would seem a bit short for a little ice age. The last one lasted over 300 years and actually benefitted some areas of the world while causing problems in others. When the vikings first settled in Greenland/Iceland the seasons and the agricultural viability were very temperate as opposed to 100 years later.
They’ll grow smaller.

Quick - everybody go out and burn a bunch of fossil fuels!
All those who have been cutting back on CO2 are responsible. Government needs to impose new minimum carbon footprint mandates with fines for failure to put enough carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. Carbon credits could be issued for extra production which could be sold to individuals to make up for past failure to produce their fair share. We only have 2 weeks to implement these new policies or it will be too late. Can we afford not to act?
Never mind horses; I want to know what this will do to Al Gore’s Unicorns?
Don’t forget the methane. The EPA needs to establish a Minimum Daily Requirement for beans right away!
