From Speedy Media:
Just before World War I, there were a number of terrorist attacks on the United States forces in the Philippines, by Muslim extremists. General Pershing captured 50 terrorists, and had them tied to posts for execution. He had his is men slaughter two pigs, in front of the horrified terrorists
The soldiers soaked their bullets in the pig's blood, and proceeded to execute 49 of the terrorists by firing squad. The soldiers dug a big hole, dumped in the terrorist's bodies, and covered them in pig blood, entrails, etc. They let the 50th man go.
And for the next 42 years, there was not a single Muslim extremist attack anywhere in the world.
Thank you!
An event from the days when American warfare was both deadly serious, capable and feared.

I’ve heard this story before, and while quite enjoyable
I’m reasonably certain that it did not happen. Not that
it isn’t worth a try.
Not an accurate assessment of attacks by Moslem extremists. There were many, from the Armenian genocide and related killings, to the Arab slaughter of Jewish settlers in the British Mandate of Palestine, esp. in 1929 and on thru the 30’s, encouraged by the pro-Nazi Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, Husseini.
There were other Moslem extremist attacks in the Balkans/Greece, Yugoslavia, India, and the Philippines, again. Many more that I haven’t listed.
I like the pig blood and guts story/tactic but it needs to be verified with documentation.
It was reported that the US soldiers did put pig grease on their bullets in the Philippines. This also needs to be verified.
I read somewhere that the Muslim released was instructed to tell his mullahs that Muslim women should practice birth control by holding an aspirin between their knees. What kind of evil man was the General?
It’s the usual 5% truth, 95% embelishment. The people they were fighting were Moros (sp) which were somewhat Muslim like. Troops were armed with a .38 caliber revolver - so ineffective that they started trying to do things to make it more potent. They may or may not have invented the hollow point bullet (some say it started here, others say elsewhere.) They did tell the natives their bullets were filled with pig grease, trying to make them less willing to attack.
One thing is certain - we did not fight that war with one hand behind our back. And it lead to our eventually adapting the .45 cal as our standard sidearm.
Killing people is silly..
Better in terrorist areas..
Spray paint mosques and madras’s.. and people praying during services.. with pig blood..
Especially Imams and other muslim leaders..
and spread propaganda that food staples have been tainted with pig fat..
And continue until all terrorism activity STOPS..
Killing the right people in the in the right way for the right reasons is never silly.
Apologies... I’m waiting for the apologies... where are the apologies, whaaaa!!!!
I was expecting a discussion of theatre ballistic missiles..
I believe that you're right. Many of us hope that it really did happen.
They were and are Muslim, why call them 'somewhat Muslim like'?
“Killing people is silly.”
Not when it’s your people being killed.
But I won’t say there’s no merit in the rest of your post.
Yep, we forgot how to get down in the mud and duke it out with a soul-less enemy. Yes, you have to sink to their level to some extent because it is the only thing they understand.
Prisoners at Guantanamo should have been given a choice for meals: live on bacon and baby back ribs or starve.
No quarter. We’ve forgotten how to fight. Instead, we have a regiment of lawyers on the battlefield ready to prosecute our own troops.
You don’t start knee-jerk wars like we have been doing, but when you go to war, you win it with every means at your disposal and you win it as soon as you possibly can.
I’m very sympathetic to not wanting to alienate the populace in a war, but yes, we should have buried every dead Muslim combatant in pig fat. Every single one.
Yeah, I sound like an internet tough guy.
Good post, Muslim populations really are paranoid mental cases, exploiting that would be a piece of cake.
[ Not when its your people being killed. ]
In Afganistan and other places insurgents should be captured and bugged (like animals) and traced.. Maybe bugged for sound and even video.. AND LET GO... Tracked monitored and recorded..
AND the people they sneak off to be with also captured and the same with them.. pretty soon you would know more about the enemy they they do about themselves.. At some point you could rush in and recaptured them all..
They are after all operating like animals..
Of course you may find out about the traitors feeding them information as well..
-OR- foreign operatives from Russia, China and maybe Britain maybe even Washington D.C...
There's a version of the story at the bottom of this web page THE PIG AND PERSHING!
The reason I remembered it is, there is an illustration contained therein (THE DRAWING...) that I like to post when I feel the need to diss the Religion of Peace or to violate the sensibilities (and laws, LOL!) of Canada and the European Union.
I was only trying to mention what is actually documented about what happened during the incident mentioned. The Moros were always called “Muslim like” because they mixed a variety of different influences into their so called ‘religion.’ Kind of like several groups in Mexico that practice strange amalgamations of Christianity, witchcraft, native customs, etc. I doubt any of the knuckleheads we are dealing with in the middle east would understand anything about the Moros ‘religion.’
You can be sure that the Saudis have been sending the Moros lots of Wahhabi missionaries to teach them their version of Islam, as well as endowing Wahhabi madrassahs there where young Moro boys are given free room and board in order to study Wahhabist Islam.
A more effective approach: give every senior terrorist prisoner a sex-change operation. Make women out of them. Make porn videos of these ex-terrorist leaders, now women. Distribute throughout the Arab world.
I have never heard the Moros to be called anything but Muslim, I don’t know what you are talking about. My dad was there in the 1930s in the military when Moros were still an issue to American personel, I have always paid a little attention to them, but never heard them described as “somewhat Muslim like”.
The best account (or at least the one I have the most faith in) was written by General Benjamin D. Foulois in his autobiography. He served directly under Pershing, and quotes him verbatim. One of Pershing's quotes he includes in the book is (referring to the Moros): “He is jealous of his religion but knows very little about its teachings.”
From General Foulois’ writing, he makes it pretty apparent that the Moros were basically bandits, savages, and robbers, who called themselves Muslims when it suited their purposes. When Foulois was writing his book (mid ‘60s) most Muslims were relatively mild, so the Moros seemed completely uncivilized. I'm not sure the good General would find the people he fought in his day that different from the ones we are fighting today.
“Philippine service came to an end in 1905... but it was not until July 4, 1946 that the Philippine Commonwealth became and independent republic.” And we thought we'd create a country in Iraq in 4 or 5 years?
“There were many lessons learned during our Philippine service. For example, we found that a few hundred natives living off their land and fighting for it could tie down thousands of American troops, have a serious impact on the economy of the United States, and provoke a segment of our population to take the view that what happens in the Far East is none of our business.”
Yes, that quote is from a book copyrighted in 1968. Scary familiar isn't it?
The Moros called themselves Muslims because they were, and are Muslims.
I don’t know why you are insistent that they weren’t.
