Only two pluses? Now I’ll never get into harvard. Oh, those three plus people know the joy of success. How can one plus make such a difference in my life? The world was bright and shiny this morning. It was my oyster, and all I had to do was open it up to find a pearl. Now, it’s Jim Beam for breakfast again. And maybe some Jimmy Dean sausage. I call it my J & J breakfast. I’d have some hash browns, but they don’t start with j.

The anomie that is today’s world was much better off with Andrew Breitbart exposing Planned Parenthood and Acorn. The zeitgeist that demands contraceptives for free exposes the cacography on the walls of those ivory towers of learning. AB was brilliant at exuviating the bull and getting to the heart of an issue. He was a funambulist who could roil his opponents into exposing their hateful ways.
We are in the middle of the Lenten season, yet most of the ruck have no idea how to shrive. They wallow in their wanton ways. Only a panjandrum, like a college student, could go before a Congressional panel and demand free contraception claiming it costs $3,000 a year. What hutzpah. Not to be a pedant, but really? A box of condoms a month can’t add up to that. She limns a tenebrific picture of what is really going on in our universities. Higher learning indeed.
Not to be mawkish, but with AB gone, do we know how to take an ad rem approach to today’s world? The gallimaufry of issues we have to deal with needed an idoneous specimen of conservative thinking to deal with it. We have lost a man with, to quote Neo, with titanium balls who charged into the fray. Who else would show up at theWeiner’s own presser and take over the podium?
Actually I think is all part of team 0bama’s strategy. They didn’t like him being the foodstamp president so they figured he’d be more popular as the birth control pill president.

Fog has been so thick here that you can’t see across the road-it was weird to be in the woods with all sound muffled by fog, sitting under a tree and watching deer seemingly just materialize-it is starting to lift now...
The anomie the present day

I was reading about the reaction to that Georgetown law student, Rush, Boehner, etc-and I’ve come to the conclusion that some people are just throwing reason out the window and spewing the kind of illogical nastiness we expect from the left.
As far as I’m concerned, while we can see that the woman is clueless, we do not know if she is a “slut”. On the other hand, the woman put her sex life and that of others on the public stage-that was tasteless and stupid on her part and she really shouldn’t be surprised at the reaction she got-there is no high ground in this dustup-both sides are rolling in the mud.

As for the college slut, she asked for it. Unlike AB, she has no idea how to play the media. Just another taker exposing herself. Bet her parents are proud.

Honey is a choking hazard for little kids. It would never occur to me to give it to a dog. I doubt it would hurt them if they licked it off of something.
and to think people eat raw honey as a health food. ((shudder))

In regard to the Georgetown law student-of course she asked for it-I just don’t see the point in name calling-that is just as ill-mannered as her idiotic public comments.
It makes more sense to me to point out the lack of social saavy of someone who puts their sex life out to the media, never mind her ASSuming that her classmates share her overactive libido, or require assistance to finance birth control for their liasons.
And someone should remind her that her little publicity stunt has an unlimited life on the internet, and is most certainly not the best addition to her future resume as an attorney. There is a much better way to smack people like that than using words like “slut”, “whore”, etc.
I had that annual experience of finding spring at Wegmans today......bright colors, pretty spring things for the yard.......gives me hope this cold, rainy, sometimes snowy, dreary winter is coming to an end for another year.
Oh good! I’m thinking to go tomorrow. Xshub leaving first thing for the upstate. He’s going to bring his dad back for a weeks visit on Sunday.

I have called her a slut, or a lesbo who doesn’t need any contraception. She was a useful tool for the left, what did she expect?

Check out the monkey kiddie plates at Wegmans....I got them to go with the glasses I gave the girls for Christmas. Bright turquoise with happy monkeys on them. For their Easter treat bags.
I don’t eat after my pets, period-that doesn’t sound very smart.
I buy honey from a neighbor on the next road who keeps bees-I use it in recipes that call for honey or (sometimes) sugar. I’m not familiar with eating it as a health food, but it is used as part of a popular natural treatment for allergies by exposing one to small amounts of pollen. You do have to use only honey from your local area to get the right pollen.
I agree. There is a difference between very clearly pointing out the meaning of someone’s behavior and calling them a name.
I liked the video remark- surely we have the right to expect either product or service for our money-at the very least we deserve to be amused by what she was given money for.

...and he did say something like that....but, again, she wants to run with the big dogs she needs to take the flak.
What is the average date of the last freeze where y’all are? It is March 21 here, but I’ve seen it freeze in April many times. It is nearly 80 and sunny now, but tomorrow and Sunday, it will be about 62, and may freeze at night-thankfully, my salad greens, arugula and spinach plants don’t mind a little freeze, because they are already sprouted from seeds in the ground and several inches tall.

I think the video of her obviously inappropriate discussion of her sex life and asking for taxpayers to finance it will be a hinderance to her future employment-I certainly hope so. Who would hire an attorney to represent them whose earliest claim to fame was something as dumb as that?
I do not believe that he outright called her a slut, I believe he qualified that asking someone to pay for your contraception to allow wanton sex, would be the same as prostitution....Rush is a bit more experienced than to fall into that trap. It IS the LASlimes that is saying he said that......consider the source.
Freeze? We can get over three feet of snow at the end of April. My husband was born then and the snow fall was so bad he and his mom were snowed in at the hospital. I was snowed in in late March after having my daughter. Two weeks later I had an infection and was hospitalized for five days....the hospital nearly shut down, nurses were not allowed to leave....we had a huge slumber party.
Actually, it would have been more nicely insulting if Rush had opined that you could say that woman was a nymphomaniac, or had a sex addiction.
And thanks to the internet that algore invented, any potential employer can google her name and come up with this story. NOT a smart move for someone in law school.
I can’t imagine that at all-I’ve been in Wa state and Illinois with the military, and spent a lot of time in New Mexico with my first husband’s family, but I’ve never seen anything like what you are describing. My dad and husband both expected orders to Alaska (Anchorage), but they were sent someplace warmer instead. I was disappointed then, but when I hear stuff like “snowed in in late March”, I’m damn glad those orders were changed.
Snowed in in late April....we have even had snow in May.
Employers certainly do that-last week, my daughter told me about a classmate getting her resume out there-to the private sector-in anticipation of graduation. It seems she had indulged in some nonsense with a (now ex) boyfriend at a website that involved nude/seminude posing, risque conversation, etc, but nothing hardcore.
She was confronted with a printout of some of her stuff by a potential employer, told she was not on the short list, and thanked for her interest in the company-she was mortified. My daughter said mom I had to slap my forehead and say WTF did you expect? She just looked blank-didn’t understand at all-thought it was just harmless fun and didn’t see why it should affect her being in the public eye as groundwater safety technician who provides in-service training to well drillers-who are mostly MEN-duh!
