I heard Liberals on the radio calling Sara Palin and Laura Ingraham sluts. Did any other Liberals complain? Damned hypocrites.

Are you saying Rush doesn’t bounce ideas off anyone? That’s a bit nutty, isn’t it. I mean, for a local guy, fine. And for quick off the cuff stuff, likewise. But coming out with a comment that you KNOW is going to stir the pot, that requires a bit more reflection and planning a few moves ahead - even for a talented person.
BTW, I considered pursuing a career in talk radio. After researching what the job actually involved, I ran away from it like I did when I was 18 and considered being a long haul truck driver...
It may depend on the state and/or the insurance company. It’s the opposite here.

...possibly, but their opinion won’t mean much. The likely scenario was Rush read the story before the show about the slut. Said out loud, “what a slut” and his staff maybe overheard him. They said stuff like “oooh” and “absolutely Rush” and “right again Rush” and he slipped it in.
I worked at 17 radio stations in 25 years. There’s Rush, Glenn, Sean and then there’s the rest of us. Clear Channel will fire Joe Shmow in Knoxville and give John Doe from Duluth a promotion to the “bigger market”. Then they’ll hire another “newbie” for Duluth at 25K and the cycle begins again. I was “Joe Shmow”. Working in a bigger market then fired for comments on illegal immigration. I am now a Realtor and have tripled my income. I miss it but I don’t miss the instablity and the paranoia.
Your last statement should be shouted from the rooftops. As a former liberal I can tell you they operate on the assumtion that conservatives will be cordial, polite even wimpy and that by being shouted at and even threatened we will back down. Liberals are cowards and the moment you give them a taste of their own medicine they back down. They do this because they’re not used to it. As you say ‘’They better get used to it’’. For this conservative they better do more than that. I’ve had with them and this campaign is going to get ugly— and violent.
We have to fight. Liberals are like terrorists, give them what they want or expect and they’ll still shoot you anyway. Better to go in fighting than letting them cow you into submission.
My father is a liberal. Last night I had a brief political conversation with him. It was as usual all ad homiens on his part, he called Obama a ‘’gentleman’’ and everything in the last four years has been ‘’Bush’s fault’’. And as usual before I could get a word in he didn’t want to hear anymore and even though I persisted he hung up the phone on me. This is my own father. My two younger brothers are libs and the one behaves much the same way but a little more politely. My youngest brother is a different story. He’s vulgar and pugnacious and the truth is I hate him. We’re it to come down to it I punch in the mouth or worse. I actually hate him and since my mother is dead these six years he could join her for all I care. This is how bad things are in my own family. For any other liberal they’d better not cross my path. This is war.
My oldest son is a liberal but he likes to talk and hear my opinions. We disagree on some things but not all. We politely agree to disagree. I know him well, and in speaking to him I find that sooner or later he will see the light. I will always keep the lines of communication open. He lives in Chicago....nuff said.
I hope that sooner or later your family sees the light. You don’t have to apologize for the way you feel, just don’t let them make you lose your soul.
Thank you for your kind words. I have lost my soul. I’ve been a screaming lib/leftie and I’ve tried to be a conservative only to find real conservatives few and far between. I’m angry beyond words at what is happening to our great country and I’m losing patience . I need to pray hard to God for help because I’m a man on the edge, I’m not kidding.
Ask God for help. The aise you receive from him may not be direst, but if you are not blind you will see it. His love is powerdull and all encompassing.
You have not lost your soul, you are just looking for answers so don’t be shy about asking. God love your heart, we love ya (even the meanies). Hang in there and He will give you the strength you need.

I understand your frustration. If you understand that there is no cure for stupidity you would be willing to forgive your family because you would realize that they do not have the mental capacity to make the right decision.
