Drudge headline- where did it go?
03-06-12 | Me

Just about an hour and a half ago, there was a headline on Drudge regarding a Wikileak leak that Bin Laden wasn't not buried at sea.

Now, there is nothing on Drudge anymore.

Guess ole Matt must have gotten a call from "O" and the fellas telling him to take it down or else...hmmmm

...Fred Burton, Stratfor's vice president for intelligence, followed that up at 5:51 a.m. with an email titled "[alpha] Body bound for Dover, DE on CIA plane" that said:

Than [sic] onward to the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology in Bethesda.

At 1:36 p.m. Burton replied to a thread named "Re: OBL's corpse" with the message:

Body is Dover bound, should be here by now.

Drudge linked 2 articles:

http://rt.com/news/osama-body-wikileaks-stratfor-949/

http://www.thenewamerican.com/usnews/foreign-policy/11092-leaked-emails-suggest-bin-laden-not-buried-at-sea

Even when he replaces a major headline with a new one, he will lower the earlier headline into one of his three columns of headlines.

In this case, he just wiped it off of his site.

One would think that this story would really stir up the raghead rage. If handling a koran inappropriately is such a big deal, wouldn't it be a bigger deal if some holy warrior's carcass was handled inappropriately?

Someone should send a link to this story, to every middle east news outlet.

“I have not been to the Drudge web site since the day he posted a dozen or more hit pieces about Newt.”

Same here.

Yeah. I saw that. If you went to the link, the story itself was outed by the third comment. It’s amazing it got posted here at all.

Nurse Laz: Aren’t you ashamed?
Lurker: No, I’m not.
[Applause from friends]
Nurse Laz: You know Lurker, what worries me is how your mother is going to take this.
Lurker: Um, um, well, y-y-y-you d-d-d-don’t have to t-t-t-tell her, Laz.
Nurse Laz: I don’t have to tell her? Your mother and I are old friends. You know that.
Lurker: P-p-p-please d-d-don’t tell my m-m-m-mother.

In my opinion that article put Bethesda in danger from a nutbag suicide bomber. I am glad its ‘down’. I have a family member working at the NSA...though not that close to Bethesda...don’t like him near danger.

I has read the link while it was up. I am guessing they took it down because the link only went to a Stratfor guy's email *speculating* that he didn't think Bin Laden would have been buried at sea. There was nothing actually saying that there was proof otherwise. I agree that it seemed (and seems) unlikely that they would have buried him at sea but me saying so is about the same as the Stratfor guy saying so. Seemed like kind of a weak "leak" for Drudge which was likely why he didn't keep it long. Or I could be wrong.
