Join the “Condoms for Georgetown” Campaign

Sandra Fluke, a third-year law student at Georgetown Law and past president of the school’s Students for Reproductive Justice recently testified on the floor of Congress about how she (and other law students at Georgetown) are so financially strapped that they can’t afford the contraceptives that they need.

Barred from speaking by evil Republican lawmaker Darrell Isaa, who wants to adhere to Constitutional principles like Freedom of Religion, Flue was originally not allowed to testify at the faith-based hearing on Capitol Hill because Isaa found her unqualified to speak on the subject, since she is not clergy. Little did he know, she IS the poster child for birth control.

Even though students at Georgetown pay at least $40K a year for school, $1 per condom is just too much to bear – and so is any out-of-pocket expenses for voluntary birth control. Remember, they ARE college students – they have to save their discretionary spending for beer, fast food, cell phones and internet access!

It is also apparent that Miss Fluke has never Googled “free birth control” and looked any of the 52,900,000 results from that search.

Fluke spoke on February 23d to a Democrat hearing organized by the House Minority Leader on the financial and medical burdens that are incurred by students by not getting free birth control.

Most sane people on the planet have found her testimony to be laughable. Below are some past, un-related quotes from liberals, which may offer an insight as to how they might feel about Fluke’s testimony:

“We think there might be a better way to go about this” – Nancy Pelosi

“A majority of this country opposes this” – Michael Moore

“It’s like being paid to eat” – Rachel Maddow

“Bill Clinton strikes me as the kind of guy who goes wherever.” – Al Sharpton

“Embarrassing” – Chris Matthews

“Why can’t I just eat my waffle?” – President Obama

What can we do about this poor girl’s plight and the hardship of other Georgetown Law students? Republicans all across the country sympathize with her and want to help her with her horrible situation. Please send a new, wrapped condom to:

Georgetown University Law Center Students for Reproductive Justice 600 New Jersey Ave. NW Washington, DC 20001

and if you have any further questions, please email Fluke directly at skfluke@gmail.com

What about ammo? They’ve got no money for ammo either! All Georgetown students should get free ammo too.

Remember to throw in a picture of her new Boyfriend Barack Obama into the envelope.

It might help her get to where she wants to be a little bit faster, if you catch my drift.

Nancy Pelosi’s initiative to convince Sandra Fluke to testify to contraception as a health care necessity is simply wrong. Colleges and universities provide limited accidental injury/major medical insurance, but not traditional employee health coverage for students. Since students are generally young and not subject to the myriad diseases confronting older people or families with children, the coverage is limited. Not only contraceptives, but many medical procedures and drugs are not included. Since sexual intercourse is an optional, and not a required activity of law school students, contraceptives should not be among policy provisions.

Ms. Fluke’s testimony connotes that 40% of the women in law school consider sexual intercourse a compelling or preferred recreational activity. Therefore, the proper place to make her case is with the Georgetown University Student Association. The university encourages students to actively engage in more than 200 co-curricular clubs and activities. She testified to what would be more accurately described as a club sport or performing art, than as a health care necessity.

The analogy should not be considered facetious, but should awaken people to the limits of targeted, low cost insurance programs.

By the way I estimated the cost of a three year law school education at Georgetown. Their website says it is $46,000 plus for the university. However, surviving the household expenses in the D.C. area would easily push the total over $200,000. This means $3,000 is 1.5% or less of expense. Such a minimal fluctuation in a three year budget should not register even at the margin with a normal person.

My email to Ms. Fluke.

Ms Fluke,

You are worried about getting your $30,000 a month NEED for contraception covered.
Meanwhile, I am on SSD and not had health care for nearly 2 years despite mr obama promising that those of us with preexisting conditions would be covered from the signing of the Health Care Bill (obamacare).

He PROMISED THAT WOULD BE IMMEDIATELY covered from the signing of the bill. View that on You Tube for his promise on that day.
It has NOT been so. So I have NO health care at all.

So while you have health care to cover life's other REAL health concerns, you also are more worried about concerns of choice and self pleasure... not real health care at all. Meanwhile Ms Fluke citizens like me have NO health care for emergencies, let alone “normal” health situations like my M.S. and dental care and vision care.
Currently I have a badly infected dental problem which could/will get much worse and lead to death from the infection.

If I had 3 months of the amount you say is for your “necessary” contraception, I could get many of my problems taken care of. Your demand is for coverage for pleasure, my NEED is for only a small fraction to possibly preserve my life.

Right now for the dental issues and pain I am using Oil of Oregano as nothing else from a pharmacy will work.
The Oil of Oregano costs about $40 a year, not $3000 a month. After a year it's effectiveness grows less and/or the worsening of the infection makes it less effective.

Also I am badly in need of vision care and glasses, all probably for less than $1000.

So Ms Fluke, will you go before congress and try to get me coverage for a REAL health crisis with possible life and death consequences?

So I do not want the government to force anyone to pay for care for my pleasure, as noted, I just want some help to cover my health care promised my by mr. obama at the time he was ginning for his bill to be signed. Coverage he PROMISED if it got signed.

Yet it was not provided. Or I was lied to by mr. obama. Despite all my calls, NO government agency will pay for my health care.

Will you go before congress and lobby on my behalf? You at least have them paying attention to your “needs” for pleasing the flesh, yet no one will pay attention to my real life and death situation

You say you NEED $36,000 a year. I would be happy with someone helping me with 2.5 months of what you say you need for contraception to assist with REAL dental problems and vision care.

Thank you
John Stoexxxxx

I can’t afford to sent The Fluke new condoms. However, I will contribute to the cause by saving my used ones and donating them to her.
