Steelfish: “Anybody But Obama for me. Country before candidate.”

I fully respect that, and I hope you respect those of us who simply won’t hold our noses for the GOPe nominee any longer. If Romney is the best we can do, I think we’re pretty much lost either way. Romney has said or done nothing credible to indicate he’s going to roll back big government. All I hear is how he’s the most electable. What a bunch of idiots! Would they vote for Stalin if Stalin was most electable Republican??? Apparently. I’ll ask again. What in the world does Romney even stand for? Oh, he’s Republican and he’s electable. Vote Romney! GEESH.

Texas primary is set for May 29th. It has the potential to be winner-take-all. In any case, Romney will not win Texas.

Better mitt then rick. mitt stands a better chance of beating obumber. Of course that isn’t saying much as rick would be the butt of jokes two days after the convention, which is to say he has no chance at all. Newt is our only hope. If the msm can make a comment by a radio host into a “republican war on woman” imagine what they would do to rick.

We could always draft Allen West at a convention. Or Herman Cain. Or Bolton. Now, wouldn’t that be a kick in the GOP-e’s gut.

Imagine a West/Rubio ticket. Or a West/Gingrich ticket. Or....a Palin/whoever.

It is now possible.

Romney is losing his chits.

ibytoohi: “I’d vote for a can of beans vs Obama.”

You might just get your wish, because that’s about all we know about Romney. He’s wearing a “Republican” label. I think a can of bean might actually make a better candidate, because at least with beans the label lists the contents and nutritional content. With Romney, I honestly have no idea what he stands for, but he governed like a Democrat.

Your choice = a CULT LEADER (When living in MA, “Bishop” Romney, was the highest ranking Mormon in the entire state and held a position equivalent in the CULT to a Roman Catholic cardinal!) or a COMMUNIST! Before God, in good conscience I can not and will not vote for either!

GeronL: "Have you not been paying attention? All the Newt supporters on FR do all day long is attack Santorum." Both sides need to chill out, because we're all supposed to be conservatives here. Newt voters like him, because they think he's the most conservative candidate. Santorum voters think the same thing of Santorum. We need to stop tearing each other apart and focus on the immediate threat: Romney. Personally, I'd ardently support either Newt/Santorum or Santorum/Newt, and I'd be pleased with either of them if they dropped out and threw their support to the other guy. The two campaigns need to start talking about what is best for this country and do the right thing! The conservatives need to compromise and cooperate now before they throw this to Romney.

Yeah, whatever...he would still be better than Obama. He may not be conservative, but I don’t think he hates America like Barry, and will therefore get my vote.

Just take a look at the states that have voted, MA, NH, AZ, ID, NV, FL, VT are all states Romney should have won.

In MA, Mittens won 72% of the popular vote and all 38 delegates. In order to participate in proportional allocation, a candidate needed to get at least 15% of the vote. My guy Newt got 4.7%. Santorum got 12%, and Paul 9.5%.

“We had a crappy lineup.. It’s as simple as that. I cannot stand Santorum.”

We finally agree. Still, I will vote for the sweatered Lhasa Apso of Greater Goodness if that is what it takes to beat Bishop Willard, who is easily the most repugnant charlatan the GOP has ever run in its entire history.

Hey, I’m in OH and I voted for Rick. He won 72 of the counties - its always the liberal counties that do us in. Blame Columbus, Cincinnati & Cleveland. Real drags on this state.

The butt of jokes? Not the greatest choice of words, given the context ......

Rick might have gotten some delegates in MA, if Gingrich would get over his big arse ego and drop out. He is the one giving us Mitt Romney as the nominee. I’m sorry, I like Newt, but, he has to step aside - he is done - finished in this race.

Ricky is just as phony as Mittens. The MSM stands ready to make mincemeat of either in the general. Romney has Form MA 1099-HC to hand-wave his way past. That's too big a handicap to enter such a crucial race with. And Santorum can't seem to stay on message and off the culture wars, no matter what. JFK in 1960 promising to abide by the First turned his stomach?? Sheesh! Get real!

Going into today, it looked like Gingrich and Paul were roughly tied in MA. So, I felt comfortable voting for my real choice, who was Newt, hoping to push him over 15% and dent Romney's delegate allocation. But if I'd known how badly Newt was going to do (4.7%), I'd have voted for the daffy doctor instead. Actually, Dr Paul is the only one of the four who comes across as totally honest and in favor of freedom and small government. Too bad he's nuts on foreign policy.
