A SHAKEN mum told yesterday how she unwittingly used the voodoo killers of a terrified boy as BABYSITTERS for her toddlers.
Dental practice worker Jaide Voller, 32, said as the crazed couple today face life sentences: "My blood runs cold.
"I was lucky one of my children wasn't murdered."
She was best friends with warped Magalie Bamu, 29 whose victim was her own 15-year-old brother.
Evil Bamu helped her lover torture the lad to death after the pair branded him a "witch".
Jaide shuddered as she recalled how the murderess babysat for her "hundreds of times" during the five years they were best mates starting when her youngsters were just four and one.
Fellow beast Eric Bikubi, 28, often joined her. The mum said: "It doesn't bear thinking about.
Tortured to death ... Bamu's brother Kristy, 15, was accused of being a witch "I trusted Magalie with my children's lives. To think they were around my kids sends shivers down my spine. I hope they both rot in prison."
Jaide met Bamu when both worked at the same East London dental practice. She said: "I would go to her and Eric's house with my kids. My daughter idolised her even asking if she could be her godmother." While Bamu appeared perfectly normal even going clubbing with the mum her lover was always "odd". Jaide said:
"He had no social skills and would just grunt. Mags was scared of him. She told me he gave her a black eye.
"She left him and went to a hostel. Then she called and asked if Eric could live with me because he had nowhere to go."
The mum who was pregnant at the time with her third child who is now two refused and the pair fell out.
Murder flat ... block in Newham, East London She said: "I am so glad we did. I can't get my head around it that I left my kids with such a sickening couple. The hairs on my neck stand up."
Bamu's brother Kristy was tortured with knives, metal bars, a hammer and a chisel before being drowned in the bath of the couple's home in Newham.
The pair, originally from the Congo, were convicted of murder and will be sentenced at the Old Bailey today.
Jaide, of Forest Gate, recalled once seeing another side of Bamu when she took a dislike to the mum's lover at the time and attacked him.
Jaide said: "She had to be dragged out of the house."
She added: "I quite like ghosts and ghouls and scary movies but whenever I mentioned it to Magalie she always said I shouldn't talk about that sort of thing. She didn't like it."
Perfectly normal - going clubbing
Western Civilization is dead.
Congolese babsitters just seems like a bad idea to start out with.
Mags was scared of him. She told me he gave her a black eye.
Yet you let her babysit your child “hundreds of times”, times during which he also came to your house.
I notice, also, that there is no mention of a husband to the former friend of the murderer even though she now has 3 children.
