A plane carrying Peyton Manning has arrived in the Denver area.
The legendary quarterback is meeting with executives with the Denver Broncos to discuss the potential of signing with the team.
CBS4 reporter Gary Miller says Manning has strong interest in the Broncos and the team could be among the Top 5 teams Manning is considering.
Manning will visit other places, hell visit Arizona and hell visit Miami, said Miller. But at this point, the Broncos believe that they may well be the favorites to land Peyton Manning. And indeed, the first visit hes making is here to Denver.
Denver is reportedly the first team Manning will meet with in person since he was cut by the Indianapolis Colts earlier this week.
Manning missed the entire 2011 season with a damaged nerve that caused weakness in his right arm and required multiple neck surgeries, including a single-level fusion in September. He has brushed off questions about retirement, insisting that after parting ways with the Indianapolis Colts on Wednesday he still wants to play.

This has to be exciting for the average Broncos fan. Certainly, this puts Tim Tebows future in doubt here in Denver and the reports that we have heard were if the Broncos were able to land Manning they would make an attempt to trade Tim Tebow. So theres no question the Broncos are all in on Manning. They want to make him the next quarterback of the Denver Broncos, said Miller.
If things go the way they want, Manning will be playing for the Denver Broncos and Tim Tebow will be playing elsewhere. The Broncos are determined that Peyton Manning is the man they want to be their quarterback.
They’re hiring Manning as a backup?
No offense, but why would anyone risk their health for Kansas City?
I'd have to disagree a bit there. If Manning is healthy enough to play he is still one of the top three QBs league. So much of his game is inside his head that he doesn't have to rely on the physical, mobile part of the game. The only question is will he be able to play? Three neck operations in two years? Is he insane?
Peyton doesn’t have many years left...but wouldn’t it be a miracle if he led the Chiefs to their first playoff win in 12 years? It could be his last hurrah. And there’s always money.
I agree. Doesn’t he have a wife and children? He has a ring and plenty of money. Like you said, Hall of Famer for sure. I don’t think it’s worth the risk, but that’s up to him.
Denver lost 3 starters for illegal substance use for 6 games today.
You may disagree a bit, but then you ended up completely agreeing with me. His body has had it.

If Peyton displaces Tebow, he will become hated by the Denver fans and football fans around the country. He has a pristine reputation right now. He will ruin that.
More impulse control from athletes.
But would the Jags new Muslim owner be cool with Tim's religiosity for long?
The problem with Manning is that it would only take one “tackle” from the Saint’s “bounty” defense to put him back in the hospital for 3 months.
Plus - it gives them reason to trade Tebow.
My feeling is that - they feel like his success has made them stuck with him - they want a way out, without pissing off the fans.
I think the Pat’s need Tebow.
lol - we agree!
My guess is that if TT put games in the W column, butts in the seats, and $$ in his pockets, the Muzzie would be thanking Allah for such a fine kafir.
I hope Luck has enough sense to steer clear of this scumbag.
Its a good fit. With Denvers defense and Mannings leadership / field presence, the minute he puts on the uniform theyll be Super Bowl contenders.
Manning does not play as well outside of a dome especially in cold weather.
This makes no sense at all.
Manning is not likely to be able to play more than one more season; he should be looking for a coaching job if he wants to stay in the game.
