Adventure-Seeking Bees Are A Lot Like Us: study
The Malaysian Insider ^ | March 11, 2012

Some bees love a good adventure while others prefer to hang out at the hive, and a new analysis of bee brains suggests some of the same chemicals that affect human personality could explain why.

Honey bees are known to have a structured society in which different bees serve different tasks — some work as nurses while others forage for food, for example.

But within these ranks, it appears that bees have different personalities, said the study in the journal Science that examined the difference between nest scouts that forage for new food sources and those that do not.

³There is a gold standard for personality research and that is if you show the same tendency in different contexts, then that can be called a personality trait,´ said lead author Gene Robinson, professor of entomology and neuroscience at the University of Illinois.

There are also the scouts who will fly out and slam you in the face when you’re hiking until you run away from proximity to the hive. These are the bees I know.

Also the bees that just HAVE to come in my truck if I’m drinking something interesting.

Then ain't scouts, them are warrior bees. Don't forget that if a bee stings you they die. They're just laying down their lives for the others, just like any good soldiers.

Also the bees that just HAVE to come in my truck if I’m drinking something interesting.

Also, these aren't after your drink, they just want to laugh at you.

Killer Bees Getting Second Life... While Colony Collapse Disorder (CCD) Stings Honey Hives.

Buzz Around Town.    Africanized honey bees are claiming to be victims of racial profiling; but this does not extract from the fact that normal honey queens must contend with broken homes, bee HIV/AIDS and Smokey hives.

Africanized Bees are also referred to as Killer Bees, due to their aggressive territorial gang up defensive behavior. Africanized bees look like any other bees, except for their aggressiveness and gangster style ling.

They live in the crack house beside Smooches' Sexy Plus Style Boutique in boom box hives__ you'll hear these hives booming instead of buzzing. The Africanized drone male bees will always be kickin' it getting a buzz: carrying bats, chains and numchucks; while chilling to the tomming of their bee keeping their old school of bush boogie from artists such as: Pollen8or, Ice-Bee, Snoop Bee, Bee. Diddy, Bee-Pain, Ludabee, Soulja-Bee, N-I-Bee Ganksta, MC Bee, Beestie Boys, Black Eyed Bees, BeeKon, Be-Yo, Will.I.Bee, Smoker and Sting a.k.a. Stang.

It is suspected that for Africanized bees, honey production is just a front for various illegal activities. Using EcstasB brood food, they build-up a swarming foundation of royal jelly lubricant and treat female bees as workers and call them foul mouthed nasty names such as ho's and bee-yotches. Demanding honeying up to the holes up in their drawers.

These Africanized bees are never ignorant about getting goals accomplished when it comes to the birds and the bees on a bee-line to TCBeeY.

But the horney bee queens have finally tired of Africanized bees abandoning their children. While it may be stirring a hornets' nest of controversy, honey bee queens have been going out on a limb taking affirmative action against the Africanized Beehadists, to make the Africanized bees, not endangered, but extinct.
