When the news came, it wasn't what school officials had hoped.

they waited 4 whole months?....and how long did it take for them to decide on USC...about 10 yrs I think...

and look at the Cam Newton situation...

it seems the big and powerful get the easy end..and the lowly football schools get the hard one...

USC had to forefit the BCS championship game from 2004

All the games from 2005

2 Year post season ban

3 years of reduced Scholarships

That,s 7 years of punishment for a crime the NCAA never proved the university was aware of.

In the meantime Oregon, Ohio State, Miami all paid players directly and received minor or no punishment.

Don’t talk to me about unfair.

Oregon didn't really do anything that other programs did. Cam Newton and Auburn were let off the hook because the BCS Championship game was already set and disqualifying him and Auburn would have created a nightmare for the NCAA.

Not much will happen to Oregon because Phil Knight is well connected and has so much money he can tie up the NCAA in litigation for many years.

The NCAA President, Emmert was the President of the U of Washington when Rick Neuheisel sued Washington and the NCAA and won a ton of money at trial; so Emmert has to be a bit gun shy.

That's 7 years of punishment

And it is all behind us now.

Consider:

USC is a probable pre-season top five.
They would have been Pac 12 division champs last season
They will likely be battling for BC(B)S bowl game.

People love to hate USC, fine, I will take the victories on the field, rather than a popularity contest.

Isn’t banning UNC from post-season football a little like making Ally McBeal go to bed early without desert?

I agree with everything you said, but it still proves my point that the NCAA has selective justice.

With USC it as as much about shifting power away from their program to other sections of the country and programs.
