"Golf has the skill, but stamina? Not so much."

I think you underestimate how much a person's concentration starts to wane under pressure and after 4 or 5 hours on the course. Actually, all the factors of stamina are very much in play. high caliber players take scheduled nutrition and hydrate to maintain both physical repetition and concentration. Because golf is so technically demanding, even minor changes in the set up, the swing, the follow through and especially on the green can take it's toll in a hurry.

As I said before, the weather is also an important factor. The game isn't always played in nice moderate conditions. Playing in the rain with the wind blowing at 20 or 30 mph is extremely demanding as is very hot, or very cold conditions.

When I pinged you it was from an old list I have that probably came from discussions on the US Open or the Masters. I usually assume most people following the game play it too. People who do play and have engaged in money games or tournament play are well aware of the disaster that can come from a tiny mistake like miscalculating yardage or pulling the wrong club. Things like that happen when a person is weary of the weather, playing under pressure of winning for the first time or just making a Friday cut in order to get a paycheck. Being in contention for the first time after round three and being unable to sleep is something that has ruined plenty of Sundays.

There is much more involved in playing at the highest level than just a talent for hitting the ball.

Anyway, regarding that golf ping list. Let me know if you'd like to be deleted.

All I know is that there is a p___ in the WH with some BO who could play 100 days a year and still not be any better than a 16 hdcp.

Buy your own popsicles, Haney, you opportunistic leech.

I have to agree, why the need to rat on your past clients? Kinda like a doctor releasing the medical records of all his past patients........

Woods' ex-caddy too for that matter. Woods made Williams a millionaire, probably the best paid caddy on the tour in terms of percentage of winnings and now he's turned into a sour grape........

I also love Vijay Singh and Sergio Garcia

Where's your love for Freddie Couples? He's been a crowd favorite for a long time due to his little publicized extra marital shenanigans.............

Guess you have to be one of the top ten to get that kind of scrutiny.....LOL!

The ability to put all of the elements of the complex golf swing into a repeatable motion and adapt it to hundreds of different shots and conditions is much much harder than casual observers think.

Yep. It's much harder than hitting a slider, curveball, or a changeup.

Where there's a shell, there's a way.

25 years ago, we had Ronald Reagan, Johnny Cash, and Bob Hope.
Today we have Obama, no cash, and no hope!

If you can't appreciate the pure beauty of the violin after hearing this, something's wrong with your ears.

Or you can get raw with these strings.

How about this gamechanger from America's Got Talent (which they SHOULD have won).

And finally, this, dedicated to the one and only rdb2, whose eyes are growing dim.

Either way, the violin is sweet yet LETHAL.

Do it!

Let's not forget that one only needs to hit a baseball safely 25% of the time to be near the top of the game.

Another great point.

A batter and weather person can be 'great' by being on point just 25% of the time.

I’m sure a lot of golfers resented the TigerWorship (tm) that was everpresent for 6-7 years.

Yes but the Tiger Worship resulted in bigger tournament purses and more TV coverage, and it ultimately benefited every Tour pro.

So far this year ratings skyrocketed with Tiger in the field. I've been a fan since he was an amateur. But, I'll admit I was fooled a bit by his professionally crafted image. Although it didn't change my appreciation for his ability and his record, it is disheartening to hear what an odd personality he has, but I can understand it because of the bubble he has existed in since his teens. The picture above with his family and dogs always warmed my heart. They seemed so happy.
