LAKELAND, Fla. A group of atheists in Florida spent part of their weekend washing away a blessing placed upon a local highway by a religious group.
Armed with brooms, mops and "unholy water," the atheists gathered Saturday to symbolically clean up holy oil that Polk Under Prayer put down on Highway 98 near the Pasco-Polk county line last year, Bay News 9 reported.
"We come in peace," Humanists of Florida director Mark Palmer announced before he and members of other atheist organizations launched their cleanup.

I never heard that.
You are kidding aren’t you?
Well said, my well read FRiend.
One also has to wonder if they are carrying any money that says, “In God We Trust”.
I did get a bit of it wrong
its
B.C.E. Before the common era.
and
C.E. common era.
and as someone pointed out C.E. has also been called Christian Era....but not on the science shows or at the universary level...
I think you mean "implies."
So, if someone were to have a fatal accident on this highway, do the atheists remove one of the small crosses on the side of the road?
It is odd, isn’t it, that most atheists are pissed off at “God,” who they say they doesn’t believe exists and they have to undo peaceful blessings by Christians, because you wouldn’t want the peaceful loving blessings asked by Christians of God, who doesn’t exist, to be allowed.....
Mind numbing....
“B.C.E. Before the common era.
A.C.E. After the common era.”
Let me re-translate the above:
B.C.E. Before Christ’s Entrance (into the world as human)
A.C.E. After Christ’s Execution
“B.C.E. Before the common era.
A.C.E. After the common era.”
Let me re-translate the above:
B.C.E. Before Christ’s Entrance (into the world as human)
A.C.E. After Christ’s Execution
“we come in peace”...to erase you from the earth... in peace, of course.
we insult you in peace, and if you object, that makes YOU the bad guy.
Then they’re insulting asshats.
If it offends them, they can send it to me for proper disposal.
Yeah my exact thought
It’s always amusing to see atheists rail against something/Someone they think doesn’t even exist.
this really ticked me off when I was in the seminary and Priests were saying this and wearing the Tau cross and not wearing the clerical collar.
That leaves approximately a 33 year gap.
What is the world coming to when you cant even depend on an atheist to walk the talk???"
LOL. The poor fools don't realize it, but their behavior just serves to prove God's truth.
really! was that an RC seminary or was it Greek or Episcopal?
amazing.
The “atheist” I believe is the saddest, most pitiful of all creatures, for this person says that FOR A FACT that there is no God, no Creator (sic). I can half see a person who is “agnostic”, meaning he/she is not certain that God may or may not exist. (Even though evidence abounds, even a starry night in the desert would probably cure one of that), but for the atheist, it is a certain statement that God does not exist at all but is myth made up by humans, which has to be about the most foolish thing a person could ever believe, and simply must be borne out of some kind of mental dysfunction.
RC, It was very liberal and I was a lay student.
Sure. Their actions just exude peace all over the place.
